The View On ABC: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Fired From The View?

It looks like some big changes are coming to The View on ABC and after the announcement that Joy Behar is leaving The View 2013 after 16 years on-air it looks like one of her co-hosts might be following right behind her, as Elisabeth Hasselbeck fired from The View? 

Nothing is confirmed, but a source told Us Weekly that the conservative co-host is being kicked out of the loop after market research found she was not popular with the viewers (they haven’t determined that until now)?

The source said: “The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right wing. People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed.”

With Joy officially leaving The View on ABC and now Elisabeth being fired? Don’t get so excited. ABC released a statement: “Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a valued member of The View and has a long term contract.” That is fine and dandy, but someone can always be fired from a contract!

Elisabeth joined The View as a co-host back in November 2003. That would mean two of the longest co-hosts would be gone and rumors have it that Barbara Walters will be stepping down, especially after her fall at the Presidential Inauguration and chicken pox scare. Could The View 2013 survive with just Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd? Is Elisabeth really fired?
