Survivor Caramoan 2013: Fans vs. Favorites Cast Announced
| January 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM ESTIf you were missing Survivor, don’t worry because Survivor Caramoan 2013 will debut on CBS before you even know it, even though it seems like Survivor Philippines 2012 just ended! CBS announced the new Survivor Season 26 cast and as host Jeff Probst said on the finale, it will be another edition of Fans vs Favorites. Survivor Caramoan 2013 has started shooting and we are about to see some familiar faces make their return and even a super familiar face as Malcolm from Survivor Philippines will be back for another chance at the $1 million prize!
Two of the Favorites returning on Survivor Fans vs Favorites share a common bond: both gave up their immunity necklace only to be voted out by their tribe members! Erik Reichenbach was one of the Fans during the first Fans vs Favorites season, but now he returns as a Favorite. Brandon Hantz, nephew of Survivor villain Russell Hantz, also gave up immunity to only be voted off and the born-again Christian tries his hand at Survivor 26 again.
Other Favorites: Malcolm Freberg (Survivor Philippines and he started shooting Survivor Caramoan only two-and-a-half weeks after finishing fourth on his initial season), John Cochran (South Pacific), Dawn Meehan (South Pacific), Phillip Sheppard (Redemption Island, you can remember him for his pink underwear and crazy feather), Andrea Boehlke (Redemption Island), Francesca Hogi (Redemption Island – the only player to be returning who was voted off in the first Tribal Council), Corinne Kaplan (Gabon) and Brenda Lowe (Nicaragua).
For the Fans on Survivor Caramoan 2013, they will consist of a race car driver, Miss Missouri 2011, a bartender (it worked for Malcolm), an Iraq War veteran and a fireman/EMT. Survivor Season 26 was taped back-to-back with Survivor Philippines, but Jeff Probst said don’t expect all the rain like we saw in Survivor 25.
