Tonight on FOX brings the return of Simon Cowell with the premiere of X Factor 2012. The new season premiere will feature a return of the auditions as the new panel of judges tour the country in search of talent with that special “X Factor.”

Joining Simon and LA this season will be new judges Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. They’ll be replacing Nicole and Paula from last year’s panel. It will be interesting to see how everyone works together and if they’ll have that magic touch missing from the previous season.

Tonight through the end of September we’ll be watching auditions from Austin, TX, Kansas City, MO, San Francisco, Providence, RI, and Greensboro, NC, and online applicants. After that the judges will form their teams, compete against one another, and then wrap up on December 20th for the finale.

It’s time to see if Simon Cowell and his X Factor USA team have what it takes to defeat NBC’s competition from The Voice. Will you be watching tonight?
