Here we go…a cool intro video of the new couples and then the pros and troupe dancers get things started for this season! Now to the performances on the night!

Team: Willow and Mark
Dance: Cha Cha

She is Primrose Everdeen from The Hunger Games and she is 14 years old and the youngest contestant on DWTS ever! She is a little stiff during the routine, but that is common for Week 1. She had fun out there and I think she will only get better, especially being only 14. I have high hopes for this couple.

7.0 – Bruno said the odds are definitely in your favor and next time attack it more.
6.0 – Julianne said well done for first dance and she has some sass.
6.0 – Len said sparkling, bubbling, refreshing. She has to straighten her legs a little bit, but great start.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said she shows incredible pizzazz and thinks she is going to go far.
Score: 25/40

Team: Robert and Kym
Dance: Cha Cha

We all know Robert from Shark Tank and he says if they win, Kym can keep his Ferrari! And they are trying to make a love connection out of this one, huh? That dang smile on his face was annoying, but he did have some moves in there that surprised me! He was better than I thought he would be.

7.0 – Bruno said what a pleasant surprise and he had so much fun with it.
7.0 – Julianne said she was completely blown away and was not expecting that and he looked like he had the time of his life.
7.0 – Len said he shocked him as well and he embraced the show, but he was too light on his feet.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said he has great technique, in a weird way.
Score: 28/40

Team: Riker and Allison
Dance: Jive

He is a member of the band R5, which I had no idea who they were. Allison said he has some dance skills, but he is rough around the edges. I did not think I would like him, but I am a fan! He has some dance moves in there, but I was over the crowd being in front and missing out on all their foot moves. It was fun and lots of energy and I like them!

8.0 – Bruno said the rocket rocker! He has the coolest vibe, like Billy Idol and he can’t wait to see him next week.
8.0 – Julianne said she is so excited for this partnership and she can show off her technicality.
7.0 – Len said full-on and lots of energy, but he has to get more elegant for next week.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she wouldn’t call that graceful, but he drove that dance like he was playing the bass.
Score: 31/40

Team: Charlotte and Keo
Dance: Jive

She is known for Super Bowl commercial and eating a hamburger and her boobs! They are focusing on the boobs a lot, but I am liking her and Keo is funny! She was struggling with this routine, but it is funny to see how into the pro dancer is on these to overshadow that. Not much there, but I like Keo and hope he survives.

6.0 – Bruno said she covered the mistakes and she carried on and work on those for next week.
5.0 – Julianne said jive is a tough dance to do, but work on those legs. The top half is great though.
5.0 – Len said he enjoyed the way they came out and carried on like nothing happened.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said they had a rough start, but she is so much fun to watch and keep that energy up.
Score: 22/40

Team: Patti and Artem
Dance: Foxtrot

She said she has never danced before, but her partner better have patience or she will pimp slap him! She was struggling in rehearsals, but she wants to show America that she can dance. It was simple, but elegant. She moved nicely with him and had some sass at the end.

6.0 – Bruno said so elegant, so composed and thank you for being here.
6.0 – Julianne said when she dances, she is a graceful, gorgeous God and that dance spoke for itself.
6.0 – Len said she rung his bell! It had a lovely naturalness about it.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said she is incredible. Keeping it simple, but seeing the grace of this beautiful and everything was fabulous.
Score: 25/40

Team: Chris and Witney
Dance: Jive

He said at the end of the day, he is a farmer and he has no idea how to dance. To be honest, I got more and more annoyed with Chris on The Bachelor 2015. This one routine made me fall back in love with him and see why America wanted him as The Bachelor. This was fun and upbeat and he showed off some good moves along the way, but Witney brings that out in her partners and I am loving these two!

7.0 – Bruno said rough, rugged, yet totally charming.
6.0 – Julianne said that was great, but his feet were a little loose. It was so much fun though.
6.0 – Len said he needs some polish, but he has great potential and he came out and went for it.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said tons and ton of potential here and he has so much charisma, but watch his arms.
Score: 26/40

Team: Michael and Peta
Dance: Cha Cha

He is a free agent now in the NFL, so he is training for the NFL combine and thinks this will prepare him for that. Peta won Season 14 with Donald Driver, an NFL star, so could this pairing work??? Sure, there were some rough moments in there and his feet were all off, but there were also a lot of good moments in there too. He showed some personality and I liked it.

7.0 – Bruno said that was hot and that butt is a work of art and good partner work.
7.0 – Julianne said his feet were a little sloppy, but overall he has a groove within that is so fun to watch.
6.0 – Len said everything about the dancing was great, but the footwork was atrocious.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said he is a beautiful, gorgeous man, but don’t paste a smile on his face and make it natural.
Score: 26/40

Team: Nastia and Derek
Dance: Foxtrot

This is clearly the favorite couple on the season, as they are highly favored to win it all on DWTS Season 20. Why does it seem like Derek gets the best partners every season??? Yes, this was an over-the-top performance, but very good and she can dance, but duh!

8.0 – Bruno said firing on all cylinders, but don’t overextend.
8.0 – Julianne said that was the most explosive first dance that she has ever seen, but work on that upper back.
7.0 – Len said it was sweet and delicious, but it lacked flow.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said it was fantastic, polished, but there was a lift.
Score: 30/40

Team: Redfoo and Emma
Dance: Cha Cha

He has been a guest judge on Dancing with the Stars, so I am intrigued to see how this works out. He has so much energy, but can he dance Latin??? I guess this is a good way to promote your own songs, huh? It was fun, but was there a lot of cha cha content in there?

6.0 – Bruno said the technique is unusual and he needs to control the footwork.
5.0 – Julianne said she wanted to more jiggle in the booty area.
5.0 – Len said he dances a little wild and unkempt, but it was a fun thing to watch.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said he knows how to work the hook, but more than that needed.
Score: 22/40

Team: Noah and Sharna
Dance: Cha Cha

He is a combat veteran in the Army and he lost his left arm and leg during battle. He said Amy Purdy has both her knees, which makes it a little easier. He is missing one of his knees, so it is harder for him and he brought me to tears already! This is the guy you want to root for and will do well this season. He had some moves and it was nice to see.

7.0 – Bruno said he is a titan among men. The connection was wonderful and he has a presence that is unique.
6.0 – Julianne said this is the first time tonight that she saw the connection you need in this competition.
6.0 – Len said to come out and dance like that is a major triumph.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said it was profound and he is broadening her scope of what dance is all about.
Score: 26/40

Team: Suzanne and Tony
Dance: Cha Cha

It is amazing, but she is 68 years old! They bring out the Thigh Master for this one, but they had fun for the first routine. It was slow, but they worked it out and it was enjoyable.

7.0 – Bruno said be careful to not go on the wrong foot, but very well executed.
6.0 – Julianne said it was a bit safe and she wants to see more raunchy from her.
6.0 – Len said he loved the concept. It was fun, but a little careful.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said she is a ray of sunshine and those legs are crazy and she knows how to work them.
Score: 25/40

Team: Rumer and Val
Dance: Foxtrot

They know each other through mutual friends. Val has yet to win, so can this be the partnership that brings the victory to him? She is freaking out during rehearsals and he tells her to calm down and just do it. She is not a dancer, but she just worked that out. For Week 1, that was amazing!

8.0 – Bruno said focus, powerful and the best arms he has seen tonight.
8.0 – Julianne said what a vision and she has chills. They are the ones to watch this season.
8.0 – Len said it was intense and other times quiet and this could be Val’s season.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said Season 20 just got real and real fast. She is in it to win it.
Score: 32/40
