JAMES MASLOW, PETA MURGATROYD

Last week on Dancing with the Stars Season 18, the producers were trying to mess with our heads and had all of the Olympian contestants (Amy Purdy, Charlie White and Meryl Davis) as the couples in jeopardy of going home. To be honest, I thought those three couples would be the final three couples remaining. However, it seemed like Charlie White and Sharna Burgess were not getting the love from the fans and they, shockingly, were eliminated from the competition last week!

The couples will be fighting to make the finale tonight on DWTS 2014, so grab a seat for our recap starting soon, but check out our predictions for tonight in the meantime.

Here we go…we have two rounds of dancing tonight. Everyone is in place and up first is the Judges’ Pick, which is having the couples dance their routine from Switch-Up Week, but with their original partner this time!

Round 1 – Judges’ Pick

Team: James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Tango

This routine had the intesity and was alright, but I feel they fumbled around a few times. I like him more when he is having fun and more loose and not as stiff as this one.

James Maslow & Peta – Tango – DWTS 18 (Finals) by IdolxMuzic

10.0 – Bruno said dangerous, focused and he really wants it badly.
10.0 – Len said clean as a whistle and they came out and gave it their all.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said it was sharp and intense and his butt was under, but I think he is a little too uptight tonight.
Score: 29/30

Team: Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Argentine Tango

I remember Val getting to dance this style with Meryl and he knew that this was the favorite style of his brother. This routine clearly showed that, as it was a great routine and done so well. They were flying around the dance floor.

Meryl Davis & Maks – Argentine Tango – DWTS 18… by IdolxMuzic

10.0 – Bruno said that was scrumptiously seductive. Their dances are linking into a story line and it is incredible.
10.0 – Len said that was so good.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said it was beautiful and more perfection.
Score: 30/30

Team: Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas
Dance: Quickstep

During the rehearsal yesterday, Mark was hurt and had an MRI. He was cleared by doctors to perform tonight, so here he is! I am still shocked they made it this far and this was a slower quickstep, but you could see him struggling at points with his shoulder.

Candace Cameron Bure ‏& Tony – Qucikstep – DWTS… by IdolxMuzic

9.0 – Bruno said so much better than the last time she did the quickstep and she moved well.
9.0 – Len said she has the toughness down and she did good.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she is surprised and totally impressed and she gave a light-hearted performance.
Score: 27/30

Team: Amy Purdy and Derek Hough
Dance: Salsa

For anyone out there that says she just sits there and Derek dances around her, well check out this routine! This was amazing and full of a ton of tricks and she nailed them all. She was getting flung all round and doing flips and I loved it!

Amy Purdy & Derek – Salsa – DWTS 18 (Finals) by IdolxMuzic

10.0 – Bruno said this girl is on fire. Flashy, flamboyant and she was so in-tune with the rhythm.
10.0 – Len said it was bright, colorful and fabulous…well done.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said it was ridiculous. She was better and she has grown and saw huge improvement.
Score: 30/30

Round 2 – Freestyle Dances

Team: James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Freestyle

This one started a little slow for me and I was thinking it was nothing special, but then he brought out the props and was twirling around the stick and he nailed it. That made this routine so much better and pulled it all together!

James Maslow & Peta – Freestyle – DWTS 18 (Finals) by IdolxMuzic

10.0 – Bruno said mean and hot.
9.0 – Len said he liked the concept and liked the attack and the energy and they came out and gave it everything.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said he is a star and he has proven he is the most versatile.
Score: 29/30 and a 58/60 total for the night

Team: Meryl Davis and Maks Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Freestyle

This was simple and just the two of them, but it was beyond amazing. He is so strong and just whips her around that dance floor and in the air, but it looks so good when he does it. They share a very close, but not-yet-kissing, moment at the end. Such a great story on Dancing with the Stars 2014!

Meryl Davis & Maks – Freestyle – DWTS 18 (Finals) by IdolxMuzic

10.0 – Bruno said and it keeps getting better. What they have created is as close to a flawless piece of art as possible.
10.0 – Len said there were no gimmicks, no gags and they came out and danced. There is good, there is great and there is Meryl.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said she thinks they should get married. They just got real and this is what true dance is about.
Score: 30/30 and a 60/60 total for the night

Team: Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas
Dance: Freestyle

We all know that Mark got hurt in rehearsals for this, so this should be interesting to see. He made it through and it was energetic and so fun. She did a great job and had fun, which was fun to see!

Candace Cameron Bure ‏& Mark – Freestyle – DWTS… by IdolxMuzic

8.0 – Bruno said he loves a disco diva. Through all her cares in the wind and girls want to have fun.
8.0 – Len said she came out full-on and worked her butt off.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she went for it, but felt she did not connect to the music.
Score: 24/30 and a 51/60 total for the night

Team: Amy Purdy and Derek Hough
Dance: Freestyle

We all know this one is going to an emotional one, especially with Derek choreographing it. Let me grab the tissues on this one! I was not wrong, as I am a crying mess and that was beyond amazing. What she does every week is brilliant and so insane, but she did it again on this one!

Amy & Derek, freestyle ~ DWTS Season Finale by HumanSlinky

10.0 – Bruno said she was lyrical and it was absolutely beautiful and she redefines what is possible.
9.0 – Len said a really polished performance, but did not think the rope was necessary.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said she was so connected to the lyrics and it was so profound.
Score: 29/30 and a 59/60 total for the night

The performances on DWTS 2014 are done and it is time for the results! The four couples are back on the dance floor and the first two couples safe tonight are:
