The Biggest Loser

Last week on The Biggest Loser Season 16, the contestants were faced with some temptations for the first time this season. It was tailgating time and they had tents full of all the greasy and bad food they used to love. Would they eat it? If they did, the person who ate the most calories would win immunity for the week. Big price to pay, but it worked out as Toma won the challenge and was safe for the week and still went on to lose 7 pounds! It was the Blue Team losing the weigh-in and Gina falling below the Red Line and she headed to Comeback Canyon to join Matt, who beat Mike in their weekly weigh-in.

Here we go…we see Gina arrive at Comeback Canyon and she is beyond excited to be there. I love seeing this Gina and she said she can do this. Matt is a big competitor, so I am thinking he might stick around for a second week!

Jessie wants to bring Lori back to her glory days and they head out to the softball field. She has a lot of confidence out there and throws some pitches to Jessie, who is not very successful with hitting it! This is fun to watch and brings a new side of Lori to me. They then sit down for a chat and she realizes she was never there for her husband during her miscarriages and he needed her as much as she needed him and regrets that, but Jessie said the new her can be there for him!

CHALLENGE: The trainers will go up on a diving board and the teams will be holding a rope that contains three players and 15% of their weight total. They must hold up the weight. First one to drop the rope will lose their trainer for the week. The second team to drop will lose their trainer for the week, but get them back for Last Chance Workout! The Blue Team is Jackie, Lori and Damien and have 127 pounds. The White Team is Rondalee, Toma and JJ and they have 126 pounds. The Red Team is Rob, Jordan and Scott and they have 145 pounds!

They get started and the Red Team is struggling, especially having the highest weight! Scott loses the rope and then Jordan follows! It is down to Rob and he is holding on strong….for now! Rob drops the rope soon after and his temper comes shining through and he thinks he is going home now, especially without Dolvett for the week! Next to go: White Team, as JJ drops and then Toma and Rondalee can’t hold it any more and in goes Jen! That means they lose their trainer all week except for Last Chance Workout. The Blue Team wins the challenge and stops the White Teams winning streak and keep Jessie all week long!

The contestants are in the gym and the Red and White Teams are working hard and pushing each other. I think it will be a good thing to not have their trainers, as they are trying to make a point and prove they can do it. Maybe I’ll be wrong? With that being said, Jessie is kicking the Blue Team’s butts and they are liking it!

Over at Comeback Canyon on The Biggest Loser 2014, Matt and Gina will be working together to take on an obstacle course. Bob set this up to work as a team and take on some of their obstacles, especially obstacles for Gina. They are working each other big time and this could be a tough one!

LAST CHANCE WORKOUT: Jen is back and she is working out these people on the White Team. Jessie has them working out by throwing weight around, which represents what they have lost while on the show!

COMEBACK CANYON WEIGH-IN: We have not seen back-to-back wins at the Canyon, so can matt change that trend? Gina has had a couple weeks of low numbers, so Bob said she could pull out a victory, especially after Matt has a huge loss last week.

  • Gina is down 3 pounds and 1.45%
  • Matt is down 2 pounds and 0.63%, which means that Gina wins and no back-to-back wins still as Matt is eliminated!

REGULAR WEIGH-IN: The teams and trainers arrive and this will be interesting to see how this all plays out. There will be another Red Line, so the player with the lowest percentage of weight loss on the losing team will be eliminated. Here we go:

  • Red Team – Rob is down 9 pounds, Jordan is down 7 pounds, Scott is down 7 pounds and Blake is down 5 pounds (and enters One-derland). That is a total of 28 pounds and 2.39%!
  • Blue Team – To be safe tonight, they need to lose more than 20 pounds. Lori is down 5 pounds, Jackie is down 2 pounds and Damien is down 5 pounds. I knew they would not do good with their trainer and will probably lose because of it! That is a total of 12 pounds and 1.42%.
  • White Team – To be safe tonight, they have to lose more than 20 pounds. JJ is down 7 pounds, Toma is down 4 pounds, Woody is down 4 pounds, Rondalee is down 2 pounds and Sonya is down 6 pounds! That is a total of 23 pounds and 1.62%, so they are safe.

The Blue Team, even with their trainer all week, lost the weigh-in and Jackie falls below the Red Line and has been eliminated, but heading to Comeback Canyon to join Gina, so they’ll be excited for the Blue Team reunion!
