The Biggest Loser - Season 16

Last week on The Biggest Loser Season 16, the teams took part in a challenge that had them carrying a punching bag across an obstacle course and busting through walls of excuses! The White Team won the challenge and got to pick one team to workout with them at the gym all week and the other team would be out on their own. They picked the Blue Team because they felt they were the weaker team and wanted to give the Red Team a disadvantage. It worked, as the Red Team lost the weigh-in and they voted off Emmy Lou Munoz and she she headed to Comeback Canyon to join Bob and Andrea Wilamowski.

Here we go…w esee Emmy arrive at Comeback Canyon and see Bob Harper and she is excited to still be in the game and feels like she just won the lottery.

Back at the ranch, the contestants meet the trainers outside the gym and they said they have a surprise for them, which makes them all nervous. They walk in and there is a Memory Wall, as they are filled with pictures from these contestants in their Glory Days. They all have stories with the pictures and here come the tears! The talking is done and now time for the workout!

Jen is wondering about Rondalee and where her head is at in the game, which she says she is shy. Jen thinks she is focused and determined. Damien said that he is pissed at himself for letting himself go and wants to go back to that day with the Super Bowl trophy. Jessie wants him to remember the champion that he is and it doesn’t have to end on the field. Another breakdown from the Blue Team, as Lori starts crying and she said she can’t find that spark. She said seeing her husband and son would bring it back, but Jessie said this time is for her and she has the rest of her life with them and longer if she loses this weight. She said every ounce in her is being used to keep her there and not quitting.

CHALLENGE #1: They meet Allison Sweeney and they have five minutes in the nutrition room to take in all the facts and then will come back for a quiz. The time goes by a lot quicker than they all thought and time for that quiz! The trainers come in to help them out. They will have seven food choices with seven questions and only one person can answer and the winning team will get a two-pound advantage at weigh-in. If they get the question wrong, the trainers will be eating the food!

  • QUESTION 1 – Pizza and everyone is right, so tied up.
  • QUESTION 2 – Pasta Primavera and all correct again, so tied up still
  • QUESTION 3 – Pecan Pie and Red Team and Blue Team are wrong, so Dolvett and Jessie share the piece of pie and White Team leads.
  • QUESTION 4 – Burger and Soda and Blue Team is correct, so Jen and Dolvett down the burger and soda.
  • QUESTION 5 – Veggie Egg Rolls and White Team is correct, so Dolvett and Jessie are eating egg rolls and Dolvett has eaten a lot!
  • QUESTION 6 – Ham and Cheese Scramble and Red and White Team is correct, so White Team wins the challenge and get the two-pound advantage at weigh-in.

We head over to Comeback Canyon on Biggest Loser 2014. Both the ladies are working it hard for Bob and he is happy. Bob than sits down with Emmy and hear her story on why she is there. She said she was bullied as a child and now her daughter is bullied.

Now we see Jen come in and cook for her team a healthier version of baked ziti. It looks amazingly good and they decide to mess with her and say it tastes terrible! It is funny and I like Jen as a new trainer!

CHALLENGE #2: The contestants will be riding bikes and first team to complete 24.8 miles will win a four-pound advantage on the scale. There are four bikes and five contestants, so the trainers can sub in someone whenever they want. The bikes are set for an incline, so they are fighting uphill the whole time. Woody sits out for the White Team because they have an extra player.

The White Team is subbing Matt and JJ to push strong until they are down and keep subbing. It is a big battle, as we have all the teams fighting to get there and we see the Red Team lead for a while and then the Blue Team takes the lead. However, the White Team pulls it out in the end and wins the second challenge! They now get a six-pound advantage at the scales, or maybe not! They can take the four-pound advantage, or they can get letters from home. If they choose the advantage (which they did), they give letters to the Blue and Red Team.

While the contestants are sad to lose, they will take the lose to get letters from home….more tears on The Biggest Loser Season 16!

The Red Team is out on the football field. Dolvett said they need teamwork to succeed, so Scott is bringing them together on the football field. They are having some real fun, but working out too. Maybe a love connection between Rob and Blake??? I notice something between them!

LAST CHANCE WORKOUT: This is the big one and the trainers are working them hard, especially with White Team having a six-pound advantage. The letters helped Lori, as she is coming out on top and determined again. Woody said that he has always worried about everyone else and taking care of them, but Jen told him he has to share that space and make some room for himself. We find out that Sonya will be turning 40 soon and she will be the 40-year-old virgin because she doesn’t like the way she looks, so no one else will.

COMEBACK CANYON WEIGH-IN: It is time for Andrea and Emmy to step on the scale and see who goes home tonight on The Biggest Loser 2014. Highest-percentage weight loss stays and the other person goes home. Here we go:

  • Andrea is down 4 pounds and 1.79%
  • Emmy is down 6 pounds and 2.41%, which means she is staying and Andrea is headed home!

WEIGH-IN: We are back at the ranch and time for their weigh-in. The team with the lowest weight loss percentage will have to vote off one of their members.

  • WHITE TEAM – They start with he six pound advantage and add to it: Matt is down 7 pounds, Rondalee is down 3 pounds, Woody is down 4 pounds, JJ is down 3 pounds, Toma is down 6 pounds and Sonya is down 4 pounds. With the advantage, they are down 33 pounds total and 1.72%!
  • RED TEAM – They need to lose more than 28 pounds to remain safe this week. Rob is down 5 pounds, Blake is down 3 pounds, Jordan is down 4 pounds, Mike is down 9 pounds and Scott is down 11 pounds! That is a total of 32 pounds and 1.95% and they are safe this week.
  • BLUE TEAM – They need to lose more than 25 pounds to remain safe this week. Damien is down 9 pounds, Lori is down 3 pounds, Jackie is down 2 pounds, Gina is down 1 pound and Chandra is down 1 pound! That is a total of 16 pounds and 1.09%, so they face another elimination tonight on The Biggest Loser 2014!

Week 2 is normally a low week on the scale, but they did well last week and now the low numbers come for Week 3! The Blue Team faces the vote and Damien is the biggest loser on his team, so he is safe. They discuss it as a team know they have to do what is best for the team. Time for the vote:

  • Gina votes to eliminate Chandra
  • Chandra votes to eliminate Lori
  • Lori votes to eliminate Jackie
  • Damien votes to eliminate Chandra and since she has the lowest weight-loss percentage for the week, so she has been eliminated tonight!
