American Idol 2014 Spoilers: Top 5 – Caleb Johnson Performances (VIDEO)

When you are down to the Top 5 on American Idol 2014, every performance matters and the pressure is so high for these contestants on American Idol Season 13. Song choice is huge, but when it is America’s Request for the theme, they really don’t have much to work with, right? Caleb Johnson has been a standout all season long and that did not change last night on American Idol 2014! Check out the Caleb Johnson performances on American Idol Season 13 last night below in our American Idol 2014 spoilers!

For his first song, he sings “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” by Aerosmith. Jason Mraz said he has an iconic sound that is all his own. Caleb said this is an iconic song and Jason tells him to learn it from top to bottom and wants to see him open up and tell the story. America decided to slow it down for Caleb and I was not impressed. He hits some good notes and has some strong vocals, but I want him to rock out.

For his second song, he brings that rock back! He sings “Still Of The Night” by Whitesnakee. To be honest, I was not sure what this song was. Then Caleb started singing and it came to me. This was a great song choice for Caleb and he does such a good job with it. This is the rocker side of Caleb that I enjoy and what I want to hear him singing. Great end to the night!
