FOX has one thing down pat and that is promoting the hell out of American Idol 2013 and with the new judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, they want everyone tuning in to see all the happenings. One of the big news stories coming out of American Idol Season 12 is the fighting between American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Is any of it real or just set-up to promote the show? Mariah Carey talked to Barbara Walters about it and you can see the clip below.

In the interview with Barbara Walters, Mariah Carey addressed the supposed feud with fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj. We have all heard about it and seen videos and heard the “threats” coming from the Nicki Minaj camp. Are they true or not? One will never know, but apparently Mariah felt the need to hire more security regarding the issue. She told Barbara, “I just felt it was the appropriate thing to do. Sitting there on the road with two babies, I’m not going to take any chances.”


Nicki has denied making any statements about the guns and threatening to shoot Mariah. It all seems like false hype to promote American Idol 2013. Mariah has said that they have since made up and things will be fine for the new season of American Idol. Of course they made up…there was never anything for them to be fighting over.
