Who Won MasterChef 2014 Last Night? Season 5 Finale
| September 16, 2014 at 9:01 AM EDTIt was the end of another season of Master Chef 2014 last night, as the final three home cooks on MasterChef Season 5 started the night, but it ended with the winner of MasterChef 2014 being crowned, so who won MasterChef 2014 last night? Last night on MasterChef 2014 Season 5, we started the two-hour finale with the last team challenge of the season. It had the final three home cooks making dishes for 50 chefs from 50 different states. They had the help from previously eliminated home cooks and it was a close battle, but Elizabeth won and that meant Leslie and Courtney would compete in the final Pressure Test of the season.
In the Pressure Test, they had to make three American desserts: cheesecake, key lime pie and Boston creme pie. It was a close battle, but Leslie made a big mistake: he put salt instead of sugar in the final pie! This was the nail in his coffin and he was eliminated and we had a final two of Courtney and Elizabeth.
For the final challenge, the home cooks had to create an appetizer, entree and dessert for the judges. This was a very close race and I thought Elizabeth was the deserving winner. However, the judges discussed all of the dishes and they picked Courtney as the winner! WHAT?!?!? I don’t know how that was even possible, but she walks away with $250,000 and a cookbook deal and no more pole dancing for her, huh?
