*********************************************************************

Here we go…we start out right with Usher taking the stage for his performance. He is so yummy, right??? It is fun and “Twisted” is a pretty good song.

First Performance

The Swon Brothers (Team Blake) – “Turn The Page” by Bob Seger

They dedicate this song to all the guys in Oklahoma who have helped them get to this stage in their lives. This performance started a little slow for me, but they kicked it in. I enjoy them singing songs like this and it sounded good. A little more serious and I do not like when they try to have “fun.” Did you like it?

Danielle gets a special message from Tim McGraw for singing his song tonight and then Amber gets a special message from Katy Perry for singing her song. How special for them!

Sasha Allen (Team Shakira) – “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston

Whitney is one of the reasons that Sasha has pursued music and dedicates this performance to her two children, who she will always love. I am not sure what to think of this song. It started really slow for me, but then she kicked it in at the end. I don’t think it is wise for anyone to take on a Whitney song, especially at this stage of the game. I feel this song needs emotion and she lacked it. Anyone else?

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher) – “Clarity” by Zedd

Michelle made a visit home over the week and she got some inspiration from home, so she is pumped. We take a look at her hometown visit before her performance. As if Michelle needed any inspiration, but it may have helped going home. This was a good performance and again, you can hear the emotion in her lyrics. I think she will have a very popular record when it comes out!

Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake) – “Please Remember Me” by Tim McGraw

Another home visit, but this time for Danielle and we get to see her time at home and all the support she is getting. Danielle looked like she was having fun with this performance and so happy to be here, which was great to see on The Voice USA Season 4. I think that went over to her performance and I enjoyed it. She sang beautifully, which is nothing unusual, but it was a special performance and probably one that will do well on iTunes!

Amber Carrington (Team Adam) – “Firework” by Katy Perry

She is dedicating this performance to her best friends back in Texas. They have helped her through all the teen drama in life and they would go out and drive and blast all the Katy Perry songs, so this is for them. I have been a fan of Amber and she has been coming on strong the past few weeks, but this was a weak performance for her. She may have been having some earpiece issues, as she ripped one out in the middle of the performance, but this one lacked her normal charm for me. She usually has a way of putting her own twist on songs and this lacked that for me.

Second Performances

The Swon Brothers (Team Blake) – “Danny’s Song” by Kenny Loggins

Another visit to Oklahoma for The Swon Brothers, but this time for some family and friends time. To me, The Swon Brothers came to win tonight. This was another great song selection and they nailed it. They went with the serious songs and did an amazing job with them. No fun songs tonight and I am a fan. Can they make the Top 3 though and get into the finale next week?

Sasha Allen (Team Shakira) – “Bad Girl” by Donna Summer

She gets the home visit and a chance to see her daughter and go back to her old job. The first song choice did not work for me, but Sasha brought it back big time with this performance. She looked great and sang even better. It was a perfect song choice and was fun. She worked that stage and showed what she could do as a performer. Can she make it to the finale though?

Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake) – “Who I Am” by Jessica Andrews

This song goes out to her family and friend, who helped her to be who she is today! I liked the first performance, but this one was nothing special. She has a great voice, but there was nothing different from the original song and I was not a huge fan of it. Did you like it?

Amber Carrington (Team Adam) – “Sad” by Maroon 5

We see Amber’s home visit with family and friends and gets a day named for her! She then takes on a song from her own coach, as she sings a Maroon 5 song. Amber has grown more and more each week, even though they have her as one of the bottom singers each week! This was a very good performance. It was simple, but sung very well. Does she have enough to make it to the finale next week though?

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher) – “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper

She dedicates this song to Usher, her coach. He has believed in her time after time and let her be who she wants to be. She gives an emotional speech to Usher before she sings and it brings a tear to my eye! How can you not love this girl? She has an amazing voice and nails this performance. Again, so much emotion in her performances and I am looking at a winner!

That’s it for tonight. Who will you be voting for?
