The Bachelor 2019 Spoilers: Chris Harrison Talks Caelynn And Colton Date

We had a very emotional moment on The Bachelor 2019 this week, as Colton Underwood went on a one-on-one date with Caelynn Miller-Keyes. Things got intense, as the talk during the dinner portion of the date on The Bachelor Season 23 turned to Caelynn talking about being sexually assaulted during her time in college. The Bachelor host Chris Harrison gives us more details about that date and conversation below in our The Bachelor 2019 spoilers.

Of course, Caelynn won the title of Miss North Carolina 2018 and her platform was helping and educating rape victims. During the date, Caelynn said there was something she needed to discuss with Colton, as it “affects a lot of my relationships.”

Chris Harrison discussed this exchange between Caelynn and Colton during an appearance on On-Air with Ryan Seacrest. He said, “She just felt that that’s where they were at the time, and when she has relationships she tells this story.”

As you could see Monday night, things got intense. Harrison said things were so intense that producers actually stepped in to confirm they wanted to discuss this with cameras rolling, as it was an intimate conversation. He said, “The fact that she was able to do that on camera — be that vulnerable, be that honest, and [for] Colton to be able to sit there and accept that and take it like he did… it’s one of those rare things when you’re doing the show where the show kind of stops and now you’re just wanting to take care of these people, and walk them through this.”

Harrison added, “It was gut-wrenching, as you said. It was emotional for all of us, and we stopped [and] we talked to her, we talked to Colton and made sure this was the direction they wanted to go. And kudos to her for being strong enough to saying, ‘Yes, this is my story, I wanted to tell it,’ and God bless her for doing so.”
