Big Brother Basics-Distilling the weekly craziness in this summer's house.

And the winner is: Fans who thought Maggie and Ivette were a disappointing final two last season got to see just how bad it could get. In the battle between floater and coattail rider, the coattails have it, as Will-wannabe Boogie won the game. Though his “showmance” and “bromance” paid off, in the end the votes were as much against Erika as for him.

 A distant second: With only Marcellas voting in her favor, Erika didn’t even come close to the half-million dollar prize. Of course Chicken George had so much trouble putting his key in the box, who knows who he meant to vote for? And if Erika wasn’t certain how she was doing before the tally, Howie made sure to give her a hint by telling her “America hates you.” Ouch. After 72 days in the “Big Brother” house Erika said, “I’m just relieved that it’s over.”

The popularity award: Following in the tradition of "Survivor All-Stars," Janelle wins the greatly reduced “Rupert Award” for being so darn popular. Fans made the final “America’s Choice” of the season and gave Janelle $25,000 in a move that shocked no one.  

Putting it into perspective: Before the jury asked Erika and Boogie their final questions, there was the roundtable discussion. Janelle fought for Boogie, claiming his loyalty to Will made him more worthwhile than Erika. She said, “Chill Town ran this game and for us to deny them a winner isn’t fair.” Marcellas pointed out that Erika “didn’t come into the game with her best friend to help her.” Still smarting from her defeat in season three, Danielle reminded everyone that there’s a double standard when it comes to women getting respect for how they played the game. “Don’t make it personal,” she added. Of course she didn’t vote for Erika either.

Heated debate: The jury let the final two know just what they thought of them in the Q&A. “Was kissing butt and throwing competitions part of your strategy?” Janelle asked Erika. Howie wanted to know why Chill Town sent him packing if their philosophy was “bros before hos.” When summing it up, Boogie told them, “You were all one big member of Chill Town.” Then Erika had her most persuasive line of the night when she explained Will’s eviction. “I had his best friend put him up, and his best girl put him out.” Evidently twirling Janelle around and telling her that she’s “the hottest girl in the storage room” wasn’t going to get him out of this one. While Boogie looked on slack-jawed, Will finally discovered how it feels to be the evictee. 

Secrets revealed: The first five houseguests evicted were invited back to share what they’ve learned from watching the show. Allison, Nakomis, Jase, Diane and Kaysar dished about the diary room footage with gossipy glee. Kaysar was the one to break it to Janelle about James and all his name-calling. Cluing Erika into Boogie’s bad boy ways was Allison. She introduced the video of Boogie calling Erika a ho that he “used for what she was good for.” Allison gave Boogie more credit for playing Erika than playing the game. And as Erika’s season four enemy, Allison enjoyed telling her to use her second place winnings to “buy yourself some dignity.”

A reader asked me if you had a MySpace page by chance? 

(Will walks by and says "Nerd Alert!"). 

C'mon Will, you don't know it but we became friends while you were in the house! 

WILL: We did? Well that's good I guess. 

(Boogie starts talking to someone else so I ask Will another question) 

Boogie said he was setting you up after you were evicted? What do you think, just talk? 

WILL: He said that? Yeah right, I don't believe that.

Hey Boogie, I heard you have a restaurant or two. How come you never mentioned them, or maybe wore a shirt or something? (sorry guys, I had to get him back to the interview before my time ran out!)

Ask Big Brother Interview: Janelle

I think people want a show with just you, 24/7 Janelle... (laughs) 

JANELLE: Yeah, that would be great. 

Did your thought process go out the window, I know it was some game, but did you lose control of that?

JANELLE: I don't think so. (Howie is standing next to her, says "ahem, Dr. Will) No I mean, I kept him in the game but he didn't come after me. I did the best move I could each time. 

When you did the Early Show were you tired..

JANELLE: Omigod, did I fall out of the chair? I was drunk. The thing is it's not fair because I'd just been evicted, I was still wearing the makeup I was wearing the night before, it was four in the morning. I had a whole bottle of merlot in my room. I needed to decompress.. I remember sitting there and then falling out of the chair (ed note: um, clearly edited!).
