Survivor 20: JT gets played

| April 23, 2010 at 8:09 AM EDT

It was an exciting episode last night on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.  First the Villains get a map to the Heroe’s camp so we see the much anticipated merge.  Russ and Parv come up with a plan to tell JT why Russ didn’t vote her out and Sandra had an agenda of her own letting Rupert know Russ was the kingpin and really running the show.

Last week JT made an unprecedented move by passing his HII to Russell after the heroes win the immunity challenge with a note to vote our Parvati.  Russ and Parv had a good laugh over that one.  This week JT refused to believe what Sandra told Rupert and stuck by his buddy Russell.

What could have been the most daring move in Survivor history became the worst decision for the Heroes as Parvati played two idols at TC giving one to Sandra who didn’t receive any votes and another one to Jerri who could have been voted out.  The Villain’s all voted for JT and he was sent to the Ponderosa.  JT shakes Russ’s hand and says, “Well played”.  The Heroes are now down by one.

Next week’s preview show Russ losing control of the women on his tribe.  He is pretty ticked that Parv didn’t tell him about the other HII and he needs to watch out for Sandra.  She’s coming after him.

See ya Kate! Kate and Tony eliminated from DWTS..

| April 21, 2010 at 6:49 AM EDT

Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani were the 4th couple eliminated from Dancing with Stars last night! Yessss! LOL

Pamela Anderson and partner Damian Whitewood were the other couple in the week’s bottom two. They were fifth in judges scoring with 21 points.

Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger and partner Derek Hough had topped the leaderboard with 29 points from the judges.

Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek and professional partner Anna Trebunskaya — who had previously topped the judges’ leaderboard each of the prior two weeks — had finished in second place after receiving 27 points

Former “The Bachelor” star Jake Pavelka and partner Chelsie Hightower finished third on the leaderboard after they received 23 points, followed by ESPN reporter Erin Andrews and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who received 22 points.

Actress, comedian and “Clean House” host Niecy Nash and partner Louis van Amstel had finished tied for sixth place with NFL star Chad Ochocinco and partner Cheryl Burke after they both got 18 points from the judges.

It’s hard not to keep bashing Kate when she makes comments like this, “Whatever is worthy of my time, I give my all. And I did, even though maybe sometimes it didn’t come across,” Gosselin said after her elimination. “I was scared to death most of the time to be out there… it’s so much more than people, than even I think I thought. It takes a lot.”

That may have been nice for like week one, had she worked hard, made progress and made it worth it worth her and the TV audience’s while! She came in week after week, NOT working hard, NOT giving it her all and expecting us to buy into her “Poor Kate” bit! She had a great chance to come out and make America love her, and she took it for granted! You all seen what she did..how she acted, how she basically brushed off the judges negative comments as if they’re supposed to ignore how bad she was! It’s a slap in the shows face as far as I’m concerned!

I expected to see SOME progress, but it was clear early on, that she had no intention! She had an agenda coming in, had no clue how hard it was going to be and got EXPOSED! LOL..

She had a chance to have a whole new single mom image, instead she’s like offended when she heard criticism, or gets “choked up” when she’s eliminated!

Tony said, “”As your teacher, I am proud of you because I thought you danced beautifully. You showed America it doesn’t matter how much things go against you, you still came out here and gave it your best.”

Umm..Tony? Beautifully? Yeah right!! LOL…and that was hardly her best! And before I get hit with the, “It’s hard being a mom of that many kids” bit, I understand that..I also understand Kate’s a reality TV star and isn’t your typical “working mom”..she has help with the kids, and I’m sure it’s still a little tough..but to me that’s insult to the REAL working mom’s and housewives out there, who don’t have ANY help and seem to manage!

It’s almost like her tag line now..”Hi I’m Kate..do you know how exhausting and hard it is having 8 kids?”

Well now she can go back and take care of the kids, and watch the show like the rest of us..

DWTS: It’s Movie Night…

| April 19, 2010 at 9:13 PM EDT

The show opens with the announcement that it’s Movie Night on Dancing With the Stars.  For a minute there I thought I was watching American Idol with all it’s themes but that’s ok I got some popcorn ready and settled in for the dancing.

Niecy Nash was up first dancing a jive to the title song of La Bamba.  I thought it was entertaining and lively.  She was having fun with it and we got to see her personality shine through in the dance.  She gives Len a big kiss on the forehead at the end of the performance and left large red lip prints.  Bruno thought there was so much going on in the upper deck that you couldn’t pay attention to anything else.  I always thought Bruno liked it when the attention is drawn upstairs.

Chad Ochocinco danced a quickstep to The Jungle Book.  I like Chad and I enjoy watching him chase after his partner Cheryl Burke with no luck lol.  He is fun to watch and has good energy.   Bruno thought it was too wild; Carrie said it was strange but Len thought it was a pretty good job overall.  I’ve always thought the judges scored him too low because he exudes positive energy in his dance.

Erin Andrews dances the jive straight from Pulp Fiction.  She has the Uma Thurman look down pat.  What Erin does that Kate Gosselin needs to learn is put aside her personal conflicts for sake of the dance.  Erin has much more serious matters going on in her life than any other dancer and she is still able to grow and learn.  She is getting better each week.  The judges all liked it and had positive things to say about her.

Jake Pavelka tried to be Tom Cruise with a cha cha from Risky Business.  He says people tell him that he looks like Tom but I’m sorry to tell you dude but it’s not even close.  I was hoping to see him fall again because I did get a good laugh at that last week but he actually pulls off his best dance to date.  Darn it!  I love his partner Chelsie Hightower.  I wish she could have gotten put with someone else this season.

Pamela Anderson does Dolly Parton (not literally) with a quickstep to Nine to Five.  She is dancing very well and I surprisingly look forward to watching her each week.  The judges agree that she has great characterization and is fascinating to watch.  Len didn’t like the props and the messing around but come on Len, it’s Movie Night.

Kate Gosselin does the foxtrot to The Breakfast Club.  She is questioning all Tony’s decisions and is still very negative.  My question is Why the heck is she still in this competition?  The lack of rhythmn, musicality and fluidity is really astounding.  Bruno is exasperated with her and says, “Give us something!”  Kate says her kids came to visit her and count down the days until Monday when they can watch the show so she has to keep dancing for them.  Sounds like someone is looking for some sympathy votes.

Nicole Scherzinger stole the show with a tango to Pretty Woman.  She is by far the best dancer in the competition.  Derek takes her to Beverly Hills to get her into character and she does the Julia Roberts trying on clothes for him which is cute.  The judges said she danced her best performance to date and of the season so far.

Evan Lysacek danced a rumba to Armageddon.  He is having to travel with his partner Anna for Stars on Ice and practice when he is not performing.  The dance is beautiful and his lines are elegant.  Len says, “It had artistry, it had musicality, wonderful fluidity.  Great job.”

I’m crossing my fingers we see the end of Kate’s dancing tomorrow night.  Who do you think is in danger of going home?

Bad choice for Goldberg..

| April 18, 2010 at 11:05 PM EDT

It was a close call, but Goldberg survived and Cyndi Lauper was ousted on the latest episode of “The Celebrity Apprentice”! After a vicious boardroom session where the ladies ripped themselves to shreds, Trump actually told Cyndi, she was by far the worst Project Manager ever and added, he didn’t know what was thinking having her on the show to begin with..Cyndi left in tears after hearing the harsh words, “You’re FIRED!”..

Ok, so that’s not how it went down at all..lol..that was my little fantasy ending to get rid of Cyndi, who’s quickly becoming the show’s “thorn in the side”! I’m sure I wasn’t the only one pulling for the guys! I would have loved to see that volcano erupt with the girls in the boardroom, where Cyndi would have surely been fired..maybe..lol

I gotta tell ya right off the bat..this was a torture session of an episode for me, based on the country artist theme! That aside, this task was right up my alley! I think Bret was the man for the job, and probably should have been PM, but I can understand wanting to give Goldberg a chance at some charity loot! I was happy to hear Sharon say the guy’s press kit was better, and even happier to see her return, cuz to tell ya the truth, had she not returned tonight, I would have been calling for her to leave the show, rather than waiting to be let go..

I think this is a task the guys lost unfairly..I think that’s because team Tenacity had the better artist! I think the 3 judge panel picked who they liked better, and it really had nothing to do with Rock Solid’s performance on the task! Everyone agreed that Bret did a great job, and once again my man escaped the bullets that seems to fly his way every week! So why did they lose??

How about this? Their artist Luke? SUCKED!! LOL…did you see the tears in the crowd when Emily sang? Luke’s song was so typically country, I think the biggest country fans would agree that his type of song has been done soooo many times! Plus the guy was a total pain! He didn’t seem open to anything! He couldn’t have acted less interested in his interview, which I think he clearly blew! They finally got him to loosen up with the wardrobe, but a few snazzy outfits can’t cover up that same ole country! To me it couldn’t get any more boring as far as music…

I’m not saying Emily is a superior artist or anything, but her song was better than Luke’s that night and THAT’S why the guys lost! This wasn’t a task where you could point to something specific the guys did wrong, it was a choice in artists..

BTW, Shutup Trace! Talkin about how Bret should be fired? Goldberg was PM..Goldberg let the girls pick who they wanted..Goldberg didn’t stand behind what he said ten minutes before…Goldberg was fired!!

I absolutely LOVE seeing the teams getting switched up next week! With Bret and Sharon on the same side, I think you know which side I’ll be rooting for!!

American Idol: Ryan throws Crystal Under The Bus

| April 18, 2010 at 11:07 AM EDT

Update: Crystal texted Katelyn Epperly and said she was betrayed by Seacrest but doing fine.  Katelyn and a radio host mock Seacrest live on air and further proves that Ryan is acting like a complete douche this season.

Front runner and Simon Cowell favorite Crystal Bowersox was thrown under the bus by Ryan Seacrest a couple of days ago quite possibly to get all the heat off him and onto someone else.

The host of American Idol has shown some bizarre behaviour this season with his off the wall comments and general tasteless attitude towards the judges.  Most recently coming under fire for the crude statements to Adam Lambert and dancing during Tim Urban’s performance of “I Can’t Help Falling In Love”.

TMZ reported a couple of days ago that Bowersox almost quit the show and walked off but Seacrest saved the day by getting the contestant to change her mind.  While the story has been confirmed by Eonline, it seems to me that Seacrest needed something to get him back in the lime light in a more positive way.

Bowersox tweeted “We all have moments of doubt. As much as I miss my kid, the big picture is this: im doing this for him and my fans. I’m having the time of my life!”

This could perhaps put Crystal in danger of going home as many fans are disappointed with this news but the bottom line is this should have never became public knowledge.  Seacrest should be ashamed for allowing this to get leaked.
