As usual, things can get a little gross on Dr. Pimple Popper 2019, but check out tonight’s patients below in our Dr. Pimple Popper Season 2 recap!

Dr Pimple Popper Season 2 Spoilers - Episode 5 Recap

Here are the patients we watched tonight on Dr. Pimple Popper:

Patrick

He is from Lincoln, Montana and he has a skin condition on his nose. He works as a crane operator since 1977 and his nose got progressively worse. His nostrils have closed off a lot because of the scar tissue. His grandkids would give him a hard time about the look of his nose, which upsets him.

He gets to Dr. Lee’s office and she said he has rhinophyma, which is a rare form of rosacea. She said it’s he most advanced case of rhinophyma she’s ever seen. Dr. Lee wants to do work, but Patrick was supposed to go off his blood thinners before coming for the visit, however he only cut the dosage in half. Now she is unsure if she can do the procedure, which he says he drove all this way and hopes she can do it. Well, then follow the instructions given you and stop the blood thinners and you’d be fine, Patrick!

After discussing with her husband, she decides to work on the nostrils for today. Do a little bit of work and not take any chances with him bleeding. He is disappointed, but he can’t be too bad because it’s his own fault! She lasers off the skin, which she said contains like pockets of butter/oil. She was able to fix both nostrils for now and it looks so much better. She’ll have him come back in a couple weeks to do the rest and not be on his blood thinners then!

Aziza and Lauren

They are friends and met in a chatroom, as they both have a cyst on the same wrist! They are meeting for the first time today, as they head to Dr. Lee’s office on Dr. Pimple Popper Season 2! Dr. Lee said they really do have matching bumps and they are truly “cyst-as.” She said they are most likely ganglion cysts, which are pretty common and not really dangerous in any way. It’s like a gel in your body that had formed this bubble on the skin, but it is connected to bone.

Dr. Lee said they will need a hand surgeon to remove the cysts completely, but she can help them remove some of the fluid today. It was a quick procedure and they mixed the gel in a vile for one of them to wear around her neck! They are hoping it doesn’t come back.

Joe

He has a bump on his forehead, which has been growing and has become like a third eye for him. His wife thinks it is affecting his thinking. His wife used a diabetic syringe to try and drain it, but they stuck it in and no fluids drained out. After examining it, Dr. Lee thinks it might be a pilar cyst, but would want to send it in for testing afterwards.

She gets started and squeezes all of that cheesy substance from the area. She removes the cyst and thinks it could be an epidermoid cyst or the pilar cyst, but the lab will determine that.

Patient Updates

Eight weeks after his surgery, Joe is healing fine and his wife thinks his brain is working just fine! For Aziza and Lauren, their cysts came back within a week and one of them had it return the next day! It seems now they might be keeping them and not seeing a hand surgeon. Patrick came in two weeks later for his second procedure and Dr. Lee was able to finish his nose. We get a follow-up one month later and his nose looks amazing! He is getting compliments around town and his confidence is back!
