The big theme on Dancing with the Stars 2014 this week is The Switch Up and putting the stars with a new professional partner on DWTS 2014! Yup, the couples have only been working together for three weeks now, so I guess it is time to mess with their chemistry and make them dance with someone else! I’m not sure how this will all turn out, but it could be interesting to watch on Dancing with the Stars Season 18. Watch it with us during our Dancing with the Stars 2014 Recap and see who got eliminated on Dancing with the Stars 2014 tonight!

CHARLIE WHITE, SHARNA BURGESS

Last week on DWTS Season 18, the couples took on routines that represented the most memorable year in the life of the stars. You know what that means….lots of crying! This was a very emotional night, especially the routine between Amy Purdy and Derek Hough. Their contemporary routine was on fire and full of emotion and there was not a dry eye in the house! As far as the elimination for the week, we saw Billy Dee Williams announce that he had to remove himself from the competition, as his back pain was too much and the doctors ordered him to not dance for a while!

The new couples take the stage starting soon, so don’t miss a thing with our recap that follows, including videos of the performances posted as soon as they are available!

Here we go…we find out that Julianne Hough is the special guest judge tonight and she is bringing out the boobs in that dress, huh?

Team: Candace Cameron Bure and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Quickstep

She loves him, but every time she sees him he cracks a joke and makes her embarrassed. Tony wants to develop her character in the dance, but Mark Ballas makes her work on the footwork. She thinks he is a great instructor and enjoys dancing with him. This was a fun routine and energetic and she kept those feet moving quickly and I liked it!

7.0 – Bruno said he wasn’t expecting this and loved how she went for it and loved the energy.
7.0 – Julianne said it was wonderful choreography and theme. The body contact was too gapped, but they did great.
7.0 – Len said hair-raising performance there. She attacked the dance and well done.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said this is her first ballroom and she loved the tone, but the body contact was lacking.
Score: 28/40 and a total of 60/80 for both weeks

Team: James Maslow and Cheryl Burke
Dance: Tango

James was psyched to see Cheryl, but he hopes he doesn’t hate her by the end of the week. She hopes she doesn’t hate him by the end of the day! We all know that James and Peta are an item now, right? It is so obvious! Of course, they make James almost shirtless and tease us! This was a very intense dance and they did great together and I am liking it!

9.0 – Bruno said he delivered a mean tango.
9.0 – Julianne said he is the total package and he is so amazing. He has dedication and technique.
8.0 – Len said this was burning hot. It was a little too manic on occasion, but hot.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she did not notice at all the switch up and he did great.
Score: 35/40 and a total of 71/80 for two weeks.

Team: Drew Carey and Witney Carson
Dance: Cha Cha Cha

She was with the youngest in the competition and now with the oldest! He said it is like dancing with his daughter and finds out he is older than her Dad! He actually did pretty good with this routine. He had lots of energy and it was fun to watch, but he tends to look at his partner too much while performing. Be on his own more, but it was good.

8.0 – Bruno said it was splendid and he was confident, but be careful on the weight of his feet.
9.0 – Julianne said this was his turning point and it was amazing and she is a huge fan.
8.0 – Len said he was really out there and it was terrific.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said the kick in his step tonight was ridiculous and he killed it.
Score: 33/40 and a total of 63/80 for both weeks

Team: Danica McKellar and Maks Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Jive

She is happy the fans voted to swap one Chmerkovskiy brother for the other! However, they are not alike at all. Val explains everything to her, but Maks expects her to know how to do it all. He said Meryl lets things happen, but Danica questions everything! To be honest, when Maks and Meryl perform I am drawn to her and what she does. I was drawn to Maks on this one, but it was cute and she did well on Dancing with the Stars 2014.

8.0 – Bruno said he loved how she played it and the jive she did was good.
8.0 – Julianne said she wanted to see her and she thinks Maks kind of did what he had to do to make it through the week and get back with Meryl next week.
8.0 – Len said it was high energy, but he wanted more jive. The jive they did was terrific.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she is shining and beaming and this is the most confident she has looked, but the timing was not in sync.
Score: 32/40 and a total of 68/80 for both weeks

Team: Charlie White and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Rumba

Charlie is nervous about a new partner and the situation. When he first saw her, he thought they would be on the same page. Peta is feeling the pressure to keep Charlie at the top of the leaderboard. This routine was beyond amazing. It was so sexy and sensual and they did so well together. The chemistry was great and he is so good.

9.0 – Bruno said love the grand and heroic retreat. He had clean lines, but get the feet right.
9.0 – Julianne said she thought it was absolutely stunning and beautiful and he is a mother’s dream.
8.0 – Len said as a performance it is terrific, but is it a rumba? Not in his world and it is like a contemporary number to him.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said no question he is a beautiful dancer, but that does not qualify for a rumba and he had a lift.
Score: 33/40 and a total of 69/80 for both weeks

Team: Amy Purdy and Mark Ballas
Dance: Salsa

She is nervous because she has to have Mark learn how to do this all with her. He is used to being fluid with his moves and not as aggressive. He sits down with Derek to get a better understanding of how her body moves. I like Mark, but this routine seemed too stiff for me. It shows you need time to get used to dancing with a new partner and that is even harder for Amy. Good routine, but she is better with Derek!

9.0 – Bruno said she continues to astonish him and the amount of footwork Mark made her do tonight is incredible and she never did anything wrong.
8.0 – Julianne said she is here as a competitor and she can shake it and she is incredible and commends them both.
8.0 – Len said lot of content and he is full of admiration and her bottom is the top.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she is exposed a lot more and what she saw is fantastic.
Score: 34/40 and a total of 70/80 for both weeks

Team: Cody Simpson and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Foxtrot

This is the youngest partner Sharna has ever had and can sense the generation gap going on. He said she is more of the mother type and Witney lets him get away with more. He has this hip-hop vibe to him and he somehow works that into every routine and Sharna did it tonight as well. It was a good routine and he did well.

8.0 – Bruno said when he is hold, he does not control his length of bone and he needs to refine it.
8.0 – Julianne said she loved this performance and when he does what he does he is great.
7.0 – Len said he attempted to get the footwork right. In hold, he looks awkward, but out of hold he looks free.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she thinks his hold has improved and sees him being more confident, but work on his arms.
Score: 31/40 and a total of 66/80 for both weeks

Team: NeNe Leakes and Derek Hough
Dance: Jazz

She has watched Derek dance over the seasons and he is dope. She said that Derek brings out the fabulousness like Tony has not yet. I just love watching NeNe dance and her performances. She is not a great dancer, but she goes out there and has fun. This did not show many moves from her, but it was a fun routine and great choreography. She has fun out there and that is key for me to enjoy it with them!

8.0 – Bruno said she doesn’t care about the music and she does her own thing!
8.0 – Julianne said all women want to let their inner Beyonce out and she had a full audience watching her do it and it was awesome.
8.0 – Len said the dance suits her personality and the best dance she has done all season.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said it was great to see her finally kill it.
Score: 32/40 and a total of 63/80 for both weeks

Team: Meryl Davis and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Argentine Tango

She said working with Val is going to be fun and keeping it in the family. She said that Maks jokes around, but Val is getting down to business. Val said this is Maks’ favorite dance, so he is going to be jealous. Meryl is probably my favorite dancer this season. Sure, she is an ice dancer and won the gold medal, but she is so good and such a good person. She can work it with both Chmerkovskiy brothers and do it well!

10.0 – Bruno said powerful and seductive and they were two magical instruments perfectly in tune.
10.0 – Julianne said she is a stunning and beautiful dancer and would love to dance like her.
9.0 – Len said that was the dance of the night.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said those two are in a class of their own…untouchable.
Score: 39/40 and a total of 78/80 for both weeks
