Can Bill Engvall and Emma Slater avoid elimination on Dancing with the Stars 2013 tonight? Everyone seems to have pegged them as the couple going home every week on Dancing with the Stars Season 17, even Bill and Emma, but then the DWTS 2013 results are read by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet and it was not them eliminated! They have some major fans on Dancing with the Stars 2013, huh? Let’s see if they can do it again tonight during our Dancing with the Stars 2013 Recap and see who got eliminated on Dancing with the Stars 2013 tonight with us!

LEAH REMINI, TONY DOVOLANI

Last week on DWTS Season 17, the night was dedicated to Cher! Not only did she serve as a guest judge in place of head judge Len Goodman, but she also performed twice and all the routines for the night were done to her songs. Some might complain about this, but I love me some Cher, so I was excited. What I was not excited about was the fact that Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated! How could America send home a guy that is so fun to watch without a shirt on??? Such a disgrace!

Tonight the couples on Dancing with the Stars 2013 dance two routines: their individual routine and a trio performance, which is them and either an eliminated pro from this season or a member of the troupe! These are always fun, so watch with us in our recap starting soon!

WARNING: DANCING WITH THE STARS 2013 SPOILERS AHEAD!

The following post contains videos from tonight’s performances on DWTS 2013 Week 9. Don’t want to know who went home on Dancing with the Stars Season 17 tonight? Then don’t look ahead!!!

*****************************************************************

Here we go…

Round 1

Team: Amber Riley and Derek Hough
Dance: Quickstep

She said she has gained a lot of confidence with this experience and she will carry that with her throughout her life. She has two quick dances tonight and her knees are not being nice to her for rehearsals! This is another great routine from them, with or without enough rehearsal time! She may have been a little slower with the feet though, but still looked good.

8.0 – Bruno said her performance level is always full-on, but Len is right.
8.0 – Len said his choreography was terrific, but it needed to be a little cleaner.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she has set the standard for this competition so high, but now she has to meet those standards and it didn’t.
Score: 24/30

Team: Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Tango

Leah is struggling with the posture of this dance during rehearsals, but he thinks she has the emotional connection. He gave her a tough routine because he thinks she is a contender and she wants to kill this. I don’t know if the routine was as good as they were hoping. They screwed up a trick, but I still love her.

9.0 – Bruno said that was a badass, proper tango. When she maintains her focus, she is absolutely stunning.
9.0 – Len said Leah brought the flavor and he loved it.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she is truly impressed with her growth from last week, but her arms need to get passion.
Score: 27/30

Team: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff
Dance: Waltz

Karina said the plan is to do a clean, technical Waltz. They want to cater to the judges on Dancing with the Stars 2013. They said this is Len’s favorite dance, so there is no room for error. I guess we’ll see what Len says about it, but I thought it was a great routine and they nailed it.

10.0 – Bruno said it was enchanting and fluidity of movement and it was breathtaking.
9.0 – Len said it is so expressive and he has a terrific frame, but it is a great number.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said that was so dreamy and she fell in love.
Score: 28/30

Team: Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke
Dance: Viennesse Waltz

Ballroom has been his forte, so he picked up on this routine pretty quickly. His birthday was this week and Cheryl gave him a little Mirror Ball Trophy, but will he get another one at the end of the season? He moves amazingly well around that dance floor. It surprises me every time, but a great routine from Jack and Cheryl.

9.0 – Bruno said ballroom just flows out of him and he can spin around with the best.
10.0 – Len said loved the natural turns…go on Jack.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said he built his whole journey on technique and since he built this super strong foundation he has wings to soar now.
Score: 29/30

Team: Bill Engvall and Emma Slater
Dance: Charleston

Bill said he is over-the-moon that they made it to Week 9 on DWTS 2013 and now he must do his best. I am still surprised that he is even here, but he wants to take her to the finals. Does anyone else get annoyed that they are still here when other couples have gone home? He is just not a good dancer, but he does try.

7.0 – Bruno said timing is the most important thing in these fast dances and he was off-timing.
7.0 – Len said he loved him this season, but that was not good and no swivel.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said she enjoys watching him dance, but he was much better in the package for this routine.
Score: 21/30

Team: Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Viennesse Waltz

Last week on Dancing with the Stars 2013, Elizabeth changed the music up late in the game and it hurt them. This week it is all about Val calling the shots and her just listening and taking it in. Great story and great lines. She should listen to him more because she looked really good in this routine.

9.0 – Bruno said last week she did not quite hit it, but this week she did and it came from within and it flew from without.
8.0 – Len said she is his top dancer, but this lacked and it was not his cup of tea.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she was really connecting with the emotion of the moves and her lines are so breathtaking.
Score: 26/30

Round 2

Team: Amber Riley, Derek Hough and Mark Ballas
Dance: Salsa

This is the battle of the choreographers on who wins out. Amber is confused on what was going on with the start of this rehearsal as the boys figure out what to do and what works on DWTS 2013. Derek is taking this as they are backup dancers for her, so this should be fun to watch. This was so awesome. Amber knows how to put on a show and they worked that out. So entertaining and so fun to watch.

9.0 – Bruno said she can let it rip and he loves when she lets it go and fabulous to watch.
9.0 – Len said she was like a ray of sunshine and came out and gave it plenty.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said they are like the Dream Team and she is so bummed she is injured, but did not see any trace of injury.
Score: 27/30 and 51/60 for the night

Team: Leah Remini, Tony Dovolani and Henry from Troupe
Dance: Jive

Tony used Henry when he was with Melissa Rycroft and they got three 10s, so he hopes that continues. They come up with using a parody of the judges and each of them playing one of the judges. It looks like it could be cute. This was beyond entertaining and very fun to watch. They nailed the judges and even got a standing ovation!

9.0 – Bruno said it was liking watching a mirror. That was the most witty dance routine he has seen in a long time.
9.0 – Len said he loved the concept and it was fantastic and good fun.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she loves a woman that takes control and she was so in control and loved it.
Score: 27/30 and a total of 54/60 for tonight

Team: Corbin Bleu, Karina Smirnoff and Witney from Troupe
Dance: Jazz

They know Witney is great at jazz, so they think it is a great strategy. Corbin did Broadway before, so he put his input in. That led to three different minds all putting their two cents in! I think they tried to take on too much with this routine and it was good, but kind of out of sync at parts and too much going on.

10.0 – Bruno said Grand Master Corbin, the Magnificent.
10.0 – Len said they came out and exploded and it was delicious.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said that may have been the best routine she has seen in all 17 seasons of Dancing with the Stars.
Score: 30/30 and a total of 58/60 for tonight

Team: Jack Osbourne, Cheryl Burke and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Samba

Cheryl picked Sharna because they have similar personalities and they can get the best out of Jack. He, however, said they are both very bossy. He said Latin dances are very spicy and he is not a spicy kind of fella! Jack was so good tonight and he got into that character and had so much fun. Very good routine.

9.0 – Bruno said he had so much fun watching them and he partied like there is no tomorrow out there.
8.0 – Len said such a clever routine and the fun of it all was incredible.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said he got overwhelmed with Cheryl and Sharna. It was not his best dance, but it was fun.
Score: 25/30 and a total of 54/60 for the night

Team: Bill Engvall, Emma Slater and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Salsa

They choose Peta because she is just as crazy as they are. Bill said he gets to dance with two gorgeous women and it does not get any better than this. To be honest, I think I am just annoyed with Bill tonight and can’t enjoy his routines. He stood there most of the time and let the girls dance around him!

7.0 – Bruno said loved the slapstick and all entertaining. Rhythm and timing though!
7.0 – Len said if he is back next week, then he must work to up them.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said that was weird, but she is looking for the rhythm.
Score: 21/30 and a total of 42/60 for the night

Team: Elizabeth Berkley, Val Chmerkovskiy and Gleb from Troupe
Dance: Salsa

Elizabeth said they compliment each other. There is a lot of hotness in these rehearsals and I am sad Gleb is not back as a pro this season. Anyone else? This is another routine that I liked tonight. They had the fluidity going very well and two shirtless guys, so who is going to complain about that?

10.0 – Bruno said it takes two to get her going and her best dance.
10.0 – Len said she was like a human frisbee and full of rhythm.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said she is a girl on fire and that was her favorite routine of hers.
Score: 30/30 and a total of 56/60 for the night
