We have seven couples remaining on Dancing with the Stars 2013 and while they should be the main attraction, we all know they will be playing second fiddle to the special guest judge and performer tonight on Dancing with the Stars Season 17: Cher! We have Head Judge Len Goodman taking another week off for rest, so Cher will step in for him as a guest judge and she will also be performing two songs for the audience! And we also will see all the couples on DWTS 2013 perform their routines tonight to her songs! So, literally it is Cher Night on Dancing with the Stars 2013! Come watch with us during our Dancing with the Stars 2013 Recap and find out who got eliminated on Dancing with the Stars 2013 tonight!

LEAH REMINI, TONY DOVOLANI

Last week on DWTS Season 17, we had another shocking elimination this season as Snooki and Sasha Farber were sent home! It seems like a shocking elimination only because she has done quite well this season, but also because Bill Engvall is still in the competition and he is not as strong as the other couples remaining. He must have a huge fan base though, huh?

Tonight Cher takes over the ballroom, so prepare yourselves! Get ready for a lot of Cher music tonight on DWTS 2013 with our recap starting soon, but check out our predictions for tonight in the meantime.

WARNING: DANCING WITH THE STARS 2013 SPOILERS AHEAD!

The following post contains videos from tonight’s performances on DWTS 2013 Week 8. Don’t want to know who went home on Dancing with the Stars Season 17 tonight? Then don’t look ahead!!!

*****************************************************************

Here we go…things kick off with Cher performing one of her smash hits. She may have had a ton of work done, but she is still looking good out there!

Team: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff
Dance: Argentine Tango

Karina worked alone the first night because Corbin had an emergency with the film he is producing. She choreographed the routine without him and the week continued to be crazy, but we all know that Corbin can dance, right? We all know he can dance and even without proper rehearsal, he does not disappoint again. A great routine to start the show.

9.0 – Bruno said the performance had a wonderful depth to it, but some passes were not as clean as he can do, but fantastic performance.
9.0 – Cher said it was beautiful and they were amazing.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said he brought his A-game and the lifts were breathless, but his footwork was weird at times.
Score: 27/30

Team: Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Vienesse Waltz

Leah is hoping that Cher is looking more at the whole picture of the dance and the artistry of it and not, oh you missed that lift. She loves the story of this song and dance. She the innocence of the song and their love and they hope Cher loves it. I love Leah and this dance was cute, but she needs to extend those arms in some of the moves, especially for this style on Dancing with the Stars 2013.

8.0 – Bruno said all sweet, lovely and innocence, but be careful in hold and the side-by-side part was great.
9.0 – Cher said she was enthralled in how they could interpret what her and Sonny went through in that coffee shop that day and she thought it was beautiful and great.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she is looking like she is having the time of her life out there and her upper carriage was great, but sometimes she got behind the music.
Score: 25/30

Team: Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Foxtrot

Brant said he always aims a little too far, but you always have to try. They went to the set of Pretty Little Liars for a couple days, so they are a little behind the schedule. At rehearsals, he is feeling distracted and defeated and doesn’t think they can get the routine in time. This was a very entertaining routine and he did very good. He is so easy to look at!

9.0 – Bruno said he has a lot to offer and his content is always flawless, but to go to the next step he needs to refine it.
9.0 – Cher said their smiles go well together and that is what she looks for in a dancer.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said out of everyone here he has the most potential and every week she sees him pushing himself, but his knees are going in a lot.
Score: 27/30

Team: Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Jazz

They had a routine and wardrobe consultation done, but then Elizabeth found out that “Bang Bang” was available and she could not pass up the opportunity to do it. They changed it up and that brought on huge amounts of stress. Elizabeth is putting a ton of pressure on herself and the rehearsals were tense. This was a great routine and I loved the story of the dance.

8.0 – Bruno said it was like The Hunger Games and only one can survive. Because of that intensity, some of the moves were missed.
9.0 – Cher said it was great and it was rough and she liked the rough part of it. She said some more, but it was bleeped out!
8.0 – Carrie Ann said she was one-dimensional in her anger and when she dances the jazz it has to be all over the place.
Score: 25/30

Team: Bill Engvall and Emma Slater
Dance: Disco

Bill said that he was ready and accepted the fact that he was going home. He said there are people that are better dancers than him, but he has improved. He always looks a little awkward dancing, but this one had too many arms flailing for me to like. It was fun and they did many tricks, but most focused on flinging Emma around on DWTS 2013!

8.0 – Bruno said he was gaging of laughter and he has the spirit going.
8.0 – Cher said she was amazed he could get her up in all those positions and fling her around. Even though he missed a whole bunch of stuff, she still thought it was brilliant.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said he has this magical effect and he just makes her day better. He was off the beat, but she just loved it.
Score: 24/30

Team: Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke
Dance: Tango

He said a few weeks ago he would not have given a thought about dancing, but now he loves it. They are both intimidated with dancing in front of Cher and Cheryl said they just have to sell it. He said he is loving this experience now and it is starting to show in his dancing. They had a lot of movement and they seemed to be in sync. He was right there with her and they ended with a great trick.

9.0 – Bruno said he has grown so much as a dancer and that was a proper tango.
9.0 – Cher said she thought it was great and he looked like a tango-dancing pimp.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said he is so confident and what a difference it makes and he looks so refined out there and she thoroughly enjoyed that performance.
Score: 27/30

Team: Amber Riley and Derek Hough
Dance: Rumba

Amber was admitted to the hospital and found out she has a tear in her tendon in her knee. To take some pressure off the knee, Derek brings in Whitney to rehearse with in front of Amber. She said she is a visual learner, so this could be good for her. This was very sexual at the beginning and I loved it. Amber worked that out and I loved it.

10.0 – Bruno said that is a girl on top. She knows what she wants and she gets it.
9.0 – Cher said it was great and she loved it. She owned it.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she felt it was not her best dance and she could push herself a little more and she thinks there is more in her.
Score: 28/30

For the night, Amber and Derek are the highest couple and they are safe tonight! They will not be dancing in the Dance Off, but they still need your votes for next week on Dancing with the Stars 2013! We then see another performance from Cher before getting into the Dance-Off Challenge.

For this Dance-Off Challenge, the top couple is safe (Amber & Derek) and then the second place team picks who they want to compete against. That second couple gets to choose the song and dance style. The winning couple of each Dance-Off wins three bonus points from the judges.

Corbin & Karina are high team on overall season leaderboard and they pick Elizabeth & Val and they choose Cha Cha as their dance style. Both couples dance and they both are strong couples, but how can you take down Corbin and Karina???

Bruno said one was tight and clean and one was sultry and sexy.
Cher said it’s fascinating how different people interpret the same song, but they were both great.
Carrie Ann said this competition is so tight tonight and she can’t decide.
Winning Couple: Corbin and Karina, so 3 bonus points for them

Next up are Brant & Peta and they pick Leah & Tony and they choose Rumba as their dance style on DWTS 2013. Both couples had their mistakes, but I think their was more passion from Brant and Peta.

Bruno said wonderful from both of them and he loves when Brant goes into the Latin mood and Leah is sexy.
Cher said she was enthralled with both of them and she feels passion from all four people.
Carrie Ann said Leah nailed getting out the passion and he thinks Brant could have given more hip action.
Winning Couple: Leah and Tony, so 3 bonus points for them

The last dance-off is between Jack & Cheryl and Bill & Emma and they will be dancing the disco. Jack and Cheryl had some mistakes in their routine, but it was still fun. Bill & Emma danced the disco tonight and it appears they did the same routine for this one.

Bruno said Jack turned disco into dirty dancing.
Cher said she was amazed at the moves from Jack.
Carrie Ann said Jack surprised her and she didn’t think he had the moves in him.
Winning Couple: Jack and Cheryl, so 3 bonus points for them

Tim Bergeron surprises Bill and Emma though and said they are both safe tonight, which they can’t even believe. They did it again, huh?

Now time for the results on Dancing with the Stars 2013 and these are the couples that are safe tonight:

  • Amber and Derek
  • Bill and Emma
  • Elizabeth and Val
  • Corbin and Karina
  • Leah and Tony

That leaves us with Jack & Cheryl and Brant & Peta and one of them will be going home tonight! They are not necessarily the bottom two couples, but one of them will be eliminated. The couple going home tonight on DWTS 2013 is Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd!
