We have eight couples remaining as we start the night on Dancing with the Stars 2013, but after two hours of performances, Switch-Up Challenges and a performance by Ariana Grande there will only be seven couples remaining on Dancing with the Stars Season 17! The couples will be taking on their normal ballroom routine and then add in a special challenge for the couples to earn even more points and hopefully avoid elimination on DWTS 2013 tonight! Watch it all go down with us tonight during our Dancing with the Stars 2013 Recap and see who got eliminated on Dancing with the Stars 2013 tonight!

Last week on DWTS Season 17, it was all about looking back at the most memorable year in the stars’ lives. These are always emotional times and I need my Kleenex, but that all seemed to fade away when the DWTS results 2013 were revealed at the end of the show. How could Christina Milian and Mark Ballas get eliminated this early in the competition?

I digress, as we move on to the Switch-Up Challenge tonight, which has the couples dancing in the Dance Marathon format, but to styles they are not given a heads-up on and in two rounds! More points will be rewarded to the couples that last the longest without getting tagged out! Check out our predictions here before staying tuned for our recap starting soon!

The following post contains videos from tonight’s performances on DWTS 2013 Week 6. Don’t want to know who went home on Dancing with the Stars Season 17 tonight? Then don’t look ahead!!!

Here we go…

Round 1

Team: Bill Engvall and Emma Slater
Dance: Tango

Before they start rehearsing, Emma thinks that Bill could be good at the tango. They are doing the routines to “Cheeseburger In Paradise” and Emma said the song is not made for the tango, so why was it picked??? Emma thinks the fast food burger places are going to want them to be in their commercials after this routine! So, Bill has usually won me over with the emotional side of things and having fun, but he seemed too serious in this routine and his lack of dance skills showed more and more.

7.0 – Bruno said plenty of beef. There were some timing issues, but as a performance it was good.
8.0 – Len said sharp and tangy and lots of content in that tango and overall, well done.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said strangely odd of humor and emotion and they did it well.
Score: 23/30

Team: Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Cha Cha Cha

He sees the dancer in her coming out and wants to show a different side of her this week. He wants to show her being empowered. Showgirls had a huge effect on her and Val has seen her grown in just these few weeks, so this could be a good one on Dancing with the Stars 2013. Empowering or not, this was a great routine and so entertaining. They both worked it out and I loved it.

10.0 – Bruno said you still got it big time, so sexy it just killed him. It was so clean and so sharp and brilliant.
10.0 – Len said she is a formidable partnership and whatever dance she gets is way up there.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said she has been nothing but poised and she has been growing and she is a white panther tonight and she loved it.
Score: 30/30 and the first perfect score of the season!

Team: Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani
Dance: Quickstep

Leah gets frustrated in the rehearsals because she wants the routine to go so well. She gets a visit from her friend Jennifer Lopez, who reminds her that this is supposed to be fun. That is what Leah is going with for this routine. This was fun and you could tell. She was out there doing her thing and it was done very well. I am shocked because I thought this routine would hurt her, but it did not.

9.0 – Bruno said she can do it and she proved it tonight and it was so Ginger Rogers.
9.0 – Len said last week you shot down and this week way up.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said that might be the biggest turnaround and she looked like she had been dancing her entire life.
Score: 27/30, so could that save her tonight on DWTS 2013?

Team: Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Tango

Brant is really nervous after seeing Christina Milian leave last week and thought she had a huge fan base. He feels he is not as popular as her, so now he is worried. This was a very intense routine and they seemed to do it very well together, but I must admit I was bored at times and annoyed at their faces they were making. Maybe it was just because Brant kept his shirt on this week?

9.0 – Bruno said the Prince Charming has turned into the Prince of Darkness.
10.0 – Len said sharp, crisp, tasty and no gimmicks and great.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said that was incredible technique-wise and the intensity was there. It was a beautiful dancing Ken doll with a slight stumble.
Score: 28/30

Team: Amber Riley and Derek Hough
Dance: Samba

Derek said this is one of the toughest dance styles to do on Dancing with the Stars 2013 and he wants to throw in a samba roll for Len and maybe get a better score from him. Amber is not happy during rehearsals, but did she get it over the week? This was awesome! Amber is so fun to watch and this choreography was beyond fun. They worked that dance floor and I love them, as does the audience!

10.0 – Bruno said the performance value was out of this world and she did everything.
8.0 – Len said it was a fantastic routine, but found it a tad repetitive (and lots of boos from the crowd). He did some back and say that Amber is a fantastic dancer.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said all the elements were there and she finishes every move and it is a turn on!
Score: 28/30

Team: Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke
Dance: Paso Doble

He said this is where he is taking Latin back. Cheryl’s goal this week is to show that Jack can do the Latin dances like he can do the ballroom dances. He gets some tips on being aggressive and mean from Val for this one. He had some good moments and I like him, but he did look awkward in other parts. I think he was trying too hard to be aggressive.

8.0 – Bruno said he channeled the pride and dignity, but his timing was off tonight and he was chasing the music.
9.0 – Len said it was full of intent and purpose and they came out and did a paso doble full-on.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said loved that he put his heart and soul into it. He had the intensity, but it felt one-dimensional to her.
Score: 25/30

Team: Snooki and Sasha Farber
Dance: Foxtrot

Sasha wants to keep this classy and a Gene Kelly-Ginger Rogers vibe to it. Snooki is hoping to do good in this dance so she can maybe get a 10 on DWTS 2013. The thing with her is that she looks good while doing these dances. She always impresses me and did it again tonight.

9.0 – Bruno said she graduated from charm school and she moves so well and has such grace.
9.0 – Len said everyone was happy and what’s not to like.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she has improved the most of everybody and she has turned into a ballerina on the dance floor.
Score: 27/30

Team: Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff
Dance: Vienesse Waltz

They will be dancing to the Game of Thrones theme song, which apparently is one of Corbin’s favorite shows and he is beyond excited to dance this routine. Karina said they are dancing a very character-driven waltz. Do we expect anything but a great routine from these two? They went ballsy with the routine and the judges did not like it and the scores did not show the amazing routine.

8.0 – Bruno said he usually has flowing lines and he didn’t see it tonight.
7.0 – Len said loved the lyrical movement and the theme, but nothing in the ballroom hold.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said what they did worked and the passion sold the story.
Score: 24/30

Round 2

After a performance from Ariana Grande and Mika, we then get into the Switch-Up Challenge. They will be switching up the music and the couples have to interpret it any way they want to, so they can’t prepare. It will be done in two rounds with four couples and the first one tapped out gets one points and up. The couples draw paddles to see what group they dance in.

  • Group 1: Jack & Cheryl, Corbin & Karina, Bill & Emma and Snooki and Sasha
  • Group 2: Brant & Peta, Elizabeth & Val, Amber & Derek and Leah & Tony

Group 1: Bill unbuttons his shirt and lets it all loose, but they are the first couple tapped out and get one point. Jack and Cheryl are out next and get two points. Snooki and Sasha are next and get three points and Corbin and Karina are the last couple standing, so they get four bonus points from the judges on Dancing with the Stars 2013.

Group 2: Even though she was getting flung all over, the first couple out is Leah and Tony and they get one point. Next out are Elizabeth and Val, who get two points. The next couple out is Brant and Peta, who get three points, which makes Amber and Derek the winners and get four bonus points.

Results time on Dancing with the Stars 2013 and these couples are safe:

  • Elizabeth and Val
  • Amber and Derek
  • Brant and Peta
  • Leah and Tony
  • Corbin and Karina
  • Snooki and Sasha
  • Jack and Cheryl
  • Bill and Emma

What does that mean? No one has been eliminated tonight on Dancing with the Stars 2013! Why? The voting numbers were given wrong on the East Coast last week, which could have led to some wrong voting, so they threw out all of America’s votes and kept everyone safe this week! All eight couples will dance next week and the judges’ scores will be kept and used for next week.
