Dancing with the Stars 2013 - Jacoby and Karina

Last week on DWTS 2013, we saw the couples take on side-by-side routines featuring professional dancers dancing right next to this season’s couples. Even though D.L. Hughley and Cheryl Burke took a lot of harsh criticisms for their routines this season, they have managed to remain in the competition, but that came to an end last week and they were voted off Dancing with the Stars 2013! Find out who will be in danger after tonight’s episode of DWTS Season 16!

WARNING: DANCING WITH THE STARS 2013 SPOILERS AHEAD!

The following post contains videos from tonight’s performances on DWTS 2013 Week 6. Don’t want to see them yet then don’t look ahead!!!

*****************************************************************************************

Here we go…we start out with a performance from Stevie Wonder and Hunter Hayes, who is apparently Stevie’s friend, but who believes that one?

Team: Zendaya and Val
Dance: Cha Cha

Zendaya wants to improve every week, but she got a 29 out of 30 last week on DWTS 2013, so she needs that 10 from Len Goodman to improve, I guess. Zendaya is a very good dancer and her long legs look good on the dance floor. I can’t believe that she is only 16 years old. On a side note, I thought that Stevie Wonder was singing all the songs tonight and not just his songs were what they were dancing?
10.0 – Bruno said mesmerizing shape, hypnotic presence and she can cha cha him any time she wants.
9.0 – Len said it was full of snap, crackle, pop and she should great musicality in her hips.
10.0 – Carrie Ann said she blew her away and that was perfection in action.
Score: 29.0/30.0

Team: Andy and Sharna
Dance: Samba

Andy think that the judges may finally have seen that he is here for real and taking this seriously. Sharna said he has been getting through this with his personality and now they need to show some technique. I enjoy Andy on this show, but this is not very good. It was more of the show and entertaining side of things, but there were no moves there!
6.0 – Bruno said it was a personality-driven samba, but it was very entertaining and couldn’t work out the samba steps in there.
6.0 – Len said he needs to do what he does and come out and have fun. It wasn’t that good technically and he has done a great job.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said she found herself looking down to see what dance he was doing because she saw no steps.
Score: 18.0/30.0

Team: Sean and Peta
Dance: Samba

Sean had a busy schedule this week and he was taken away for one full day and plus they have the group dance, so Peta is worried for him. I think they bring out Sean’s chest to win over some more votes tonight because this is not a great dance. I think he just looks awkward the whole dance and something about him is weird and it makes me laugh.
7.0 – Bruno said look at the bright side…he can always get a job as a stripper and he does have to lighten up and listen to the music.
7.0 – Len said it was riddled with mistakes, but it wasn’t terrible.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said that was the most bounce she has seen in a while, but he needs to learn to listen to the music.
Score: 21.0/30.0

Team: Aly and Mark
Dance: Foxtrot

Aly is from Boston and was supposed to be at the Boston Marathon and it is really affecting her this week during rehearsals. he sits her down and tells her to dedicate it to them this week. I think she does an awesome job in this performance on DWTS 2013. I normally don’t see a whole lot of personality from her, but this showed so much and I loved it. What did you think?
9.0 – Bruno said she is so consistent and her technique is very, very good, but her frame lets her down a little bit.
9.0 – Len said it was a real foxy, foxtrot and her performance was high.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she is really connected with her emotions, but she is heading towards perfection.
Score: 27.0/30.0

Team: Ingo and Kym
Dance: Tango

Kym said they have been keeping the same score every week and they need a big week and an improvement. It was a decent performance from Ingo, but there is something about him that bores me. I don’t know what it is, but I always seem to forget that they are even in this competition. Is it just me???
8.0 – Bruno said he can turn it on when he wants to.
8.0 – Len said bingo Ingo in the tango and this is a dance that suits him.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said that was great and when he likes a dance it shows.
Score: 24.0/30.0

Team: Kellie and Derek
Dance: Quickstep

Kellie said they’re are tired and their emotions are running high, so they are on edge. Derek seems to be making some mistakes this week during rehearsal, so Kellie is excited! They do great with the quickstep and Kellie has her feet moving very quickly. She is in sync with Derek and it is a great routine.
10.0 – Bruno said this was sumptuous and all the combinations of steps were there.
10.0 – Len said that is the best dance he has seen on Season 16.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said there was some space thing that bothered her.
Score: 29.0/30.0

Team: Victor and Lindsay
Dance: Rumba

Victor said he is no place for a romantic-type dance, as his girlfriend just broke his heart but he is going to try on DWTS 2013. This dance is a mess and he seemed to stand there most of the time and she twirled around him. He just stood there and I was over it. He seemed emotionless and I was not a fan.
6.0 – Bruno said his hips were stuck on neutral and then he lost his steps.
6.0 – Len said this is a tough dance for him and he coped very well.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said there was no hip movement, but there is a real, wonderful chemistry between them.
Score: 18.0/30.0

Team: Jacoby and Karina
Dance: Quickstep

It is all about Jacoby’s feet and trying to get them to point out, but he said he has tried for five weeks and he is just going to dance. Proper footwork or not, this was a great routine. I love his dancing and he is all entertainment and he is more and more becoming my favorite on this show.
8.0 – Bruno said his energy is amazing and he enjoyed it.
7.0 – Len said he eneds to work and this dance does not suit him. He did a good job with a hard dance.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said his feet are a little funky, but he made up for it.
Score: 23.0/30.0

The team dances are next and they are struggling coming up with routines and dances and learning everything:

Team Paso: Zendaya and Val; Victor and Lindsay; Ingo and Kym; Jacoby and Karina
This was actually a really good dance and they brought it all together. Zendaya was a shining star in the routine.
7.0 – Bruno said it was like watching an episode of WrestleMania.
8.0 – Len said there were some awkward moments, but when they came together it was good.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said this was a little bit broken, but they were all doing solos and trying to bring it together and it was kind of a mess.
Score: 22.0/30.0, which will be added to each partner’s score.

Team Samba: Kellie and Derek; Sean and Peta; Andy and Sharna; Aly and Mark
This song was more fun and the routine went along with it. The couples had fun and I enjoyed this one more.
8.0 – Bruno said even Andy managed to keep in sync and the girls killed.
9.0 – Len said it was a pleasure to watch and good job to them all.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said there was flow and unity and it was a fantastic number.
Score: 25.0/30.0, which will be added to each partner’s score.
