Dancing with the Stars 2013 - Week 4 Performances

Last week on Dancing with the Stars 2013, in a shocker to me, we saw Wynonna Judd and Tony Dovolani get eliminated from the show! Yes, they were the low score and Wynonna disappointed me somewhat with her inability to let loose and just have fun, but I liked her and thought her support would keep her on the show longer, but alas we had to say goodbye!

The ten couples take on performances that represent the best times of their lives, so it will be a night of tears and cheers on Dancing with the Stars 2013, so don’t miss a thing during our recap starting shortly!

Here we go…the stars will reveal the best years of their lives tonight on DWTS 2013 and of course we are going to make a huge deal about Lisa Vanderpump blacking out and fainting earlier this week in rehearsals! The stars come out and Lisa is not with Gleb Savchenko, so will she not dance tonight??? She sat rehearsal and it is up to her if she will dance tonight!

Team: Sean and Peta
Dance: Viennese Waltz

Of course, 2012 was the best year of his life and finding his fiancee Catherine Giudici. I’ve heard this story, so I am over it. They will be dancing to “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz. He does a decent job and has some good moments, but he will always look awkward on the dance floor to me and he ends it with a kiss for Catherine.
7.0 – Bruno said you stumble at times and he has to sustain it.
7.0 – Len said he was steaming and I am beaming.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said he had a couple lifts and it is all about baby steps.
Score: 20.0/30.0

Team: Victor and Lindsay
Dance: Paso Doble

His song is “We Will Rock You”, which was the song he walked out to when he won his big fight. His year is 2011, when he won a world championship in boxing, but now he is taking on DWTS 2013. Okay, he flings her right through his legs and it is awesome! This was a very solid performance, even though the majority of it fell on Lindsay, but he was very powerful and strong as the man in this dance.
6.0 – Bruno said he punched the living daylight out of the paso doble.
6.0 – Len said the paso doble needed more refining, but he gave it his all.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said he is so powerful and so committed.
Score: 18.0/30.0

Team: Jacoby and Karina
Dance: Foxtrot

His year is 2012, but not only because he won the Super Bowl that year but also because it was the year his son was born. His Dad was never part of his life and now he wants to be the best dad to his son. He picks “Watching You” by Rodney Atkins. No matter what Jacoby does, I am a fan. His personality is a winner and I root for him every week. This was a great dance and his solo was very good and entertaining.
8.0 – Bruno said he was trotting at full throttle.
8.0 – Len said he was a fan of that foxtrot tonight.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said his son his is so proud of him and the dance was great.
Score: 24.0/30.0

Team: Aly and Mark
Dance: Contemporary

Of course, the best year of her life is Summer 2012 and when she represented the USA at the Olympics. They will dance to “Titanium” because that is what she listened before practice every day. This was a good style for Aly and she proves to be strong. She can showcase her gymnastic moves and the lifts were great and I liked it.
9.0 – Bruno said forget about titanium because she is going for gold.
9.0 – Len said he liked the balance between showing emotion and the athleticism of the whole thing.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she is very proud of her.
Score: 27.0/30.0

Team: Andy and Sharna
Dance: Viennese Waltz

For Andy, his best year is 2013 and he is dancing this for his daughter to show how much he loves her, but he struggles through the rehearsals and his emotions come out. They actually do a good job and he shows that emotion during his routine. It was very solid and his solo was very good. I am impressed.
7.0 – Bruno said simple, effective and straight from the heart.
7.0 – Len said he came to this show a man and he will go out of this show a hero.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said it was like a simple poem and he did it so well and she is brought to tears.
Score: 21.0/30.0

Team: Zendaya and Val
Dance: Samba

She is the youngest in the competition and she chooses 2009 as her year, since that was the year she started working in Los Angeles and working at Disney. Zendaya has legs for days and she needs to eat a sandwich, but she is 16 and will continue to grow. She has the sass for this dance and it was very strong. She may have just worked her way to the top again.
9.0 – Bruno said oh baby, you got it and she is star power.
8.0 – Len said he wanted more samba in the solo.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she is baby Beyonce.
Score: 26.0/30.0

Team: Ingo and Kym
Dance: Viennese Waltz

His best year was 2009 because that is the year he married his lovely wife and started his family and his life began. They will dance to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. He starts with a good solo that works into the actual routine and they look very good together. Have I said anyone looked bad tonight on Dancing with the Stars 2013??? They are impressing me tonight!
8.0 – Bruno said he takes their criticisms and works on them and that is great.
7.0 – Len said commends him on his footwork.
8.0 – Carrie Ann said he worked on his core and his posture blossomed.
Score: 23.0/30.0

Team: D.L. and Cheryl
Dance: Foxtrot

For his best years, he goes back to the eighth or ninth grade and before things got rough and they were sweet and innocent, but why dance to “I Wanna Make Love To You”? He has a few brief moments where he looked alright, but he is not that strong of a dancer, but we all know that right? His solo was all about saying eff you to the judges and he does that well!
7.0 – Bruno said tough love works for him and he had more confidence.
7.0 – Len said he worked and practiced more this week and it paid off.
7.0 – Carrie Ann said hallelujah.
Score: 21.0/30.0

Team: Kellie and Derek
Dance: Rumba

They will be dancing to “Say I DO” written and performed by her husband, who was the first rock she had in her life. They planned a huge wedding, but at the last minute they changed it to be just about them and got married on a private island. Bring on the tears! This was pure awesomeness! Kellie is such a strong dancer and the emotion was there and on fire. Best dance of the night, by far! Maybe all tens from the judges???
9.0 – Bruno said it was beautiful.
8.0 – Len said her movement was great, but needed more fluidity.
9.0 – Carrie Ann said she makes the most beautiful shapes with her body.
Score: 26.0/30.0

Team: Lisa and Gleb
Dance: Cha Cha Cha

We all know about the moment this week when Lisa passed out and fainted. She has been sick all week and has a fever and flu going on, so it is up to her if she dances tonight. She does come out and dance and she is the best I think she has been all season. She seems more loose and not uptight and I like it! Maybe she is on too many meds? But she rips off Gleb’s shirt, so I am not complaining.
6.0 – Bruno said what she did, she did well.
6.0 – Len said it could have been crisper and sharper, but for what she has been through she did well.
6.0 – Carrie Ann said she would have loved to see that without everything that went on this week.
Score: 18.0/30.0
