Call it what you want, but I am pretty sure that networks are now going to record their shows and do no press/parties for it with all the drama that has been coming up because of recent comments, including The Bachelor Juan Pablo and his anti-gay comments he made at a recent party. When asked about a possible gay or bisexual Bachelor, the response from The Bachelor 2014 may shock some people (and disappoint). I have not been too fond of ABC and their choice of Juan Pablo as The Bachelor Season 18, but I think they may regret it after this interview! Check out the audio and other statements released since it happened in our Bachelor Juan Pablo 2014 spoilers below!

To catch you up, here is the audio from the interview between The Bachelor Juan Pablo and’s Sean Daly. He asked Juan Pablo about a possible gay or bisexual Bachelor and he said he doesn’t think “it’s a good example for the kids.” It gets better, so listen to the audio here:

He then proceeds to go on about it: “there’s this thing about gay people… it seems to me, and I don’t know if I’m mistaken or not… but they’re more ‘pervert’ in a sense. And to me the show would be… too hard to watch.” So, gay people are “pervert” or perveted and it would be too hard to watch. Apparently it is too hard for people to watch The Bachelor 2014 also, since the ratings are falling since the premiere! And making out with how many women in one season and having 27 women fight for you is okay for the kiddies to watch? He does mention that he respects gay people, so I guess that makes him not homophobic?

Since these idiotic statements were made by someone parading around our television screens “falling in love with” and making “normal television,” ABC has released a statement: “Juan Pablo’s comments were careless, thoughtless and insensitive, and in no way reflect the views of the network, the show’s producers or studio.” So, they separated themselves from him and his statements.

The Bachelor Juan Pablo then released a statement on his Facebook page, as well:

I want to apologize to all the people I may have offended because of my comments on having a Gay or Bisexual Bachelor. The comment was taken out of context. If you listen to the entire interview, there’s nothing but respect for Gay people and their families. I have many gay friends and one of my closest friends who’s like a brother has been a constant in my life especially during the past 5 months. The word pervert was not what I meant to say and I am very sorry about it. Everyone knows English is my second language and my vocabulary is not as broad as it is in Spanish and, because of this, sometimes I use the wrong words to express myself. What I meant to say was that gay people are more affectionate and intense and for a segment of the TV audience this would be too racy to accept. The show is very racy as it is and I don’t let my 5 year old daughter watch it. Once again, I’m sorry for how my words were taken. I would never disrespect anyone.

Juan Pablo Galavis”

So, the language barrier is the reason why he sounded like an ass? And it was taken out of context, I mean he has a gay best friend. Come on, people! Geez! If anyone is letting their kids watch The Bachelor, then their parenting skills should be questioned. Gay, straight, bisexual or whatever kind of Bachelor is not good television for a child. We have to remember that Bachelor Juan Pablo is a great father and loves Camila and talk that up ABC, as he is not the deadbeat dad like we reported earlier!

So, do you think this will hurt the ratings of The Bachelor 2014 and make people not want to watch him? When the majority of your audience is women and gay men, you might want to watch what you say!
