We had a standout during the American Idol auditions 2019 last night, as Ashley Hess took the stage and blew away the American Idol judges 2019! The auditions are in full swing on American Idol Season 17 and Ashley’s range and lack of confidence was something to admire. American Idol 2019 Spoilers - Ashley Hess Audition

For her audition, she talks about how she started out wanting to be a dental hygienist. It turns out, cleaning people’s teeth is not as appealing as she thought it would be. She has always had this passion and drive to do music, but it’s not the most stable path. It may be risky, but the side of her willing to take that risk has never gone away.

She takes on “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones for her audition. Ashley takes a seat at the piano for this one and she blows the judges away. Katy Perry is giving that shocked face when Ashley hits some of those notes along the way. I love the tone of her voice and she shows off some pretty good range on this song.

For the judges, Luke Bryan said she is making him very mad. He said she has great control. Katy said she thinks she could win this whole thing. Lionel Richie wanted to snap her out of her delusional state and said she could knock this out of the ballpark. No doubt here, as Ashley got her ticket to Hollywood!
