American Idol 2015 Spoilers - Top 12 Boys Perform

Last week on American Idol Season 14, it was a new round and we saw performances at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. I said it last week and I’ll say it again: I really enjoyed this new round! I like how they got a chance to perform in front of a live audience. I like how they edited it and would show a singer and give their journey and some of their performance and then the judges’ decision. It allowed us to get a better take on each of the singers, especially the contestants that made the Top 24 on American Idol 2015. I mean, we are voting on them this week, so we should know all of them a little better, right?

Here we go…we are in Detroit for Motor City Idol and Ryan Seacrest and the judges are present. They will be there for two weeks! The guys perform tonight and the girls perform tomorrow night and the Top 24 will be cut down to the Top 16 next week! Now to the performances!

Adam Ezegelian – He sings “I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister. This is such a weird fella, as his appearance matches nothing like what you would expect to come out of his voice. He has that rocker voice and pulls it from the deep with those lyrics. A great rock performance, but those facial expressions are too much for me to handle!

Michael Simeon – He sings “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” by Michael Bolton. He works on the family farm, but singing is what he dreams of doing. He is very cute and will probably get some votes that way, but this performance was nothing special. It was safe and kind of boring.

Savion Wright – He sings “Hey, Soul Sister” by Train. He was not sure about coming back this season, but we are glad he did. I love his style and he has a very good voice, but I am not sure about this song choice. He is fun to watch and he works it with the crowd and he has a lot of supporters out there!

Mark Andrew – He sings “The Weight” by The Band. I like Mark and think he has that cool, soulful voice. While I think he is good, I am not sure how he will do with the voters this season. He sings very well, but I don’t think it is enough.

Trevor Douglas – He sings “Best I Ever Had” by Gavin DeGraw. He is a big science nerd, but I guess he is a geeky singer? I like him too and he is entertaining, but he is quite pitchy with this performance on American Idol 2015! I think he is trying too much and it overtakes his singing.

Clark Beckham – He sings “When A Man Loves A Woman” by Percy Sledge. If I can get past his sexy eyes, I heard a great performance. He had a lot of soul with this one and he goes deep for those notes and he was feeling the emotion of the song. And he gets a standing ovation from Keith Urban!

Rayvon Owen – He sings “Jealous” by Nick Jonas. He has been a standout all season long and I was so curious to see him take this song on. He starts a little rough for me, but he kicks it in and I am enjoying it. This is such a hard song to take on with those high notes, but he handles it pretty well.

Daniel Seavey – He sings “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. He is just so adorable, how could you say no to him? He has a good voice, but I just don’t think he is ready for the live shows. This is such a difficult song to take on and he struggled with those riffs. Love him, but not this song choice.

Riley Bria – He sings “Homeboy” by Eric Church. He got a chance to play with Keith Urban a few years back and wants to be in that track of music. He does have a good country voice and he is good looking, so I think he is a shoo-in for the live shows!

Quentin Alexander – He sings “I Put A Spell On You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. This is another one that I am loving his style. He has so much emotion with this performance and he hits some great notes and he was not messing around with this performance tonight!

Nick Fradiani – He sings “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. This is such a great song and he does a good job with it. However, is it too much like the original? He needs to show off his own singing and I am not sure if he did that here, but he is nice to look at too!

Qaasim Middleton – He sings “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars. This is a huge song right now and I think he can do it some justice. He put some twists and turns into the song and he was putting his dance moves, which I love, but I want more singing. He is an entertainer, that is for sure!

The performances are done for tonight! Who will you be voting for???
