American Idol 2015 Spoilers: Ratings Down With No More Empire
| March 27, 2015 at 10:18 AM EDTIt looks like people were tuning into American Idol 2015 because it was the lead-in for Empire on FOX and now that Empire is done for the season no one decided to watch American Idol Season 14 this week??? The first week post-Empire and the ratings on American Idol 2015 are down! We are getting down to all-time low numbers, so watch out FOX! Check out the American Idol ratings details below in our American Idol 2015 spoilers!
Wednesday night on American Idol Season 14, we got to see the contestants take on songs from the 1980’s as their theme and while I thought it was going to be a fun night, I was a little disappointed. I think a lot of them missed the mark with their performances and I was a little underwhelmed. I was expecting bigger and better things and they just seemed to fall flat for me!
Maybe that is why there was a decline in the ratings? Or maybe it was because Empire was no longer there to fill the void after Idol ended? Either way, we saw Idol get a 1.7 adult rating (the all-time low for the show was last season at 1.5) and 8.34 million viewers.
With that being said, we had Modern Family winning the night with a 2.8 adult rating and 8.54 million viewers. Survivor 2015 pulled in some high viewers with 9.52 million, but had a little lower rating at 2.2 (still better than Idol)!
Why do you think the American Idol 2015 ratings were not up to par last night on FOX?
