Last week on American Idol Season 14, we had the Top 8 Guys perform on Wednesday night and the Top 8 Girls performed on Thursday night. America voted for their favorites afterwards and now it is time for Ryan Seacrest to deliver those results. We did see some great performances both nights, as Qaasim Middleton wowed us with his ability to entertain and Tyanna Jones has that knack of taking on any song and making it sound so good, but only 12 of them can move forward tonight!
Our recap is starting soon, including videos of the performances, so stay right here for American Idol 2015 tonight! In the meantime, check out our predictions on who we think goes home tonight!

Here we go…we are back in the big studio and tonight we find out which five guys and five girls you voted through and then the judges pick their two Wild Card picks. The contestants will be singing their audition songs again. Now to the results and the performances!
Sarina-Joi Crowe – She sings “Love Runs Out” by OneRepublic. To be honest, this is a weird song choice for me. I think she has a great voice, but this doesn’t show that off. She has auditioned three other times before this season, so maybe she was trying to mix it up with this one? Love her voice, but not this performance.
Rayvon Owen – He sings “Wide Awake” by Katy Perry. I absolutely loved his audition and how he put a twist on this Katy Perry song. This truly shows off his amazing voice and the control he has. This is just as good as the original and I love this guy!
Daniel Seavey – He sings “Straight up” by Paula Abdul. Sure, he is cute and he looks like he is about 8 years old, but does he really need to be in this singing competition??? He has weird eyes when he sings, but the young girls love him and will keep him around for a while. He struggles with the big notes and I am not impressed.
Maddie Walker – She sings “Suitcase” by Gwen Sebastian. This is the portion of the show that shocks me, as first Daniel and now Maddie??? I think this is more the style that Maddie would sing on the live shows and she does a solid job with it. She is a country singer and it shows on this one.
Tyanna Jones – She sings “Wings” by Little Mix. This is a great song choice for her and have I mentioned that I love this girl? She is such a joy to watch when she performs and she has an amazing voice to go with it! I love this song and she does it justice and shows she can be current with her vocals!
Nick Fradiani – He sings “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel. Nick is one that baffles me every week. I am not blown away by him, but think he has a good voice. He must have a big following out there, as they are voting him through. This is a decent performance and he sounds good on it.
Jax – She sings “I Want To Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles. She puts her own twist on songs too, like Joey Cook, but I often think she tries to hard with hitting those big notes. For her, I just love when she keeps it simple. At the piano, she sounded so good. She gets up from the piano and loses me on American Idol 2015.
Qaasim Middleton – He sings “Sir Duke” by Stevie Wonder. He starts slow and he has a good voice, which is often overshadowed by his dancing on that stage. He is a pure entertainer, but some of the words were hard to understand, as he was trying to do too much!
Clark Beckham – He sings “It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World” by James Brown. Clark definitely has a lot of soul in those baby blues, huh? He goes deep for some of those notes and I love it! This is such a good performance and his vocals are outstanding and he shows off a lot of range!
Joey Cook – She sings “King of Spain” by The Tallest Man On Earth. How can you not love this girl??? She brings out her tiny guitar and I love her voice and her style. I don’t even know what this song is, but she kills it and she makes me want to get up and dance! Love, love this girl!
America has voted those ten contestants into the Top 12 and now here are the judges Wild Card picks:
Quentin Alexander – He sings “Royals” by Lorde. The fact that this guy did not get voted through and has to be a Wild Card pick is ridiculous! This, honestly, gave me chills while he sang. His voice is so strong and he better get voted through tomorrow night. Probably one of the best performances of the night! He comes to tears at the end and I love it!
Adanna Duru – She sings “You and I” by Lady Gaga. I think Adanna has a great voice, but she seems to try too hard at times and she gets pitchy. I love this song choice and she is pulling it from the dee for this performance. She started a little shaky, but it got better as it went on!
With that being said, the four contestants eliminated tonight on American Idol Season 14 are:
- Adam Ezegelian
- Alexis Gomez
- Loren Lott
- Mark Andrew
