American Idol 2015 Spoilers - Top 8 Perform

Last week on American Idol Season 14, the Top 9 contestants took on songs from the 1980s. I found this theme pretty funny, just because Daniel Seavey was the first to sing and he was born in 1999! How crazy young are these people??? Overall, I was a little disappointed with the performances and wanted more from them. However, Clark Beckham delivered another stellar performance and he is definitely one of the faves to win it all this season! In the end, it was the end of the road for Adanna Duru and Maddie Walker, as the girls only have three singers remaining and all the guys remain intact.

Our recap is starting soon, including videos of the performances, so stay right here for American Idol 2015 tonight! In the meantime, check out our predictions on who we think goes home tonight!

Here we go…we go through all the talks and then Ruben Studdard delivered the results and he has put on some of the weight he lost during The Biggest Loser. For tonight, we will have the Idol Fan Save and the bottom two will be determined at the end of the show and will sing for your votes on Twitter and you can save your favorite, so keep that in mind! Now time for the results and performances!

Nick Fradiani – He sings “Catch My Breath” and I figured it might be tough for him to take on a Kelly Clarkson. It starts a little slow for me, but he picks it up and it got better. He is very good-looking, but I just can’t get on board with his voice. It is very good, but nothing special. He still hasn’t wowed me.

Jax – She sings “Beautiful Disaster.” Scott Borchetta said if she delivers on this, she is instantly going to the next level. I always say I like when Jax keeps it simple and just sings. She did that on this song, but I am not sure. She has this weird sound to her voice and it makes it sound pitchy and it didn’t work for me on this song.

We take a break from the results, as the Top 9 take the stage and perform “People Like Us” and just get to the results and performances! I thought Kelly would come out, so I am sad!

Tyanna Jones – She sings “Mr. Know It All.” Kelly wants her to be pissed off and she needs to show the fire. Tyanna is one of those contestants that can sing anything and I will like it. She has such control over her voice and can take on a wide variety of songs. I would have liked to see more emotions with the performance though.

Joey Cook – She sings “Miss Independent.” Kelly said this is still her favorite song to perform live. Joey was worried because she completely mixed up the song, but Kelly loved it and I did do! She got a little rough in the middle, but the beginning and ending was so strong. Just keep it simple and I love it!

She did not perform with the Top 9, but here is my girl! Kelly comes out and sings her new single “Heartbeat Song” and I just love this woman. I have said it plenty of times, but I just want to be best friends with her and think I can be!

Quentin Alexander – He sings “Dark Side.” Besides thinking he has an amazing voice, Quentin is such a good-looking guy. I love his style and love his vibe. This was a good performance, but I was hoping for a little more from him. It seemed to be lacking something, but still good.

Qaasim Middleton – He sings “Stronger” and I am shocked he made it through, but I am happy. He is putting a twist on this song and Scott said it is a brave move. To be honest, I loved the arrangement on this one. He can sing, but he did struggle with a lot of the notes and got pitchy at times. Despite that, I loved this version and he is so fun to watch on American Idol 2015!

I just love Kelly! They show her initial audition and she comes out and sings “At Last.” From there, we see an adorable picture of her daughter. Then she meets Harry and how funny is she? He said his daughters lover her and she said he is a crap Dad for not bringing them!

Clark Beckham – He sings “The Trouble With Love Is.” Kelly asks if he is too focused and if he can let go. At rehearsals, he finished and Kelly said she thinks she is pregnant! He nailed this performance and he is just so damn good! That was an awesome performance and he has to be the winner this season, right?

That leaves us with Daniel Seavey and Rayvon Owen in the bottom two! They will both sing one more time and then we go to Twitter for the Idol Fan Save. Can we save Rayvon, please???

Daniel is a cutie, but needs to go! He sings “Breakaway” and I don’t know how he made it this far. There are so many other better singers in this competition, include Rayvon, and it is time for Daniel to go home! Now it is time for Rayvon to sing and takes on “Since U Been Gone.” He did an amazing job on this song, which I knew he would. He has such a strong voice and not sure why he is in the bottom for the second week in a row! Vote for him people!

Now it is time to get to Twitter and for five minutes and either do #SaveRayvon or #SaveDaniel to save one and let’s save Rayvon!

The time is up and time for Ryan to announce the results! The Idol Fan Save goes to Rayvon, so that means Daniel Seavey is eliminated. Cute kid, but good decision tonight folks!
