Here we go and we start with CJ Harris and Casey Thrasher and the judges have made their choice. Well, the judges loved both of them and both Casey and CJ have made the Top 30!
Marrialle Sellars – she is sitting in the Holding Room and counting girls that have made it and thinking she is out. They show her final solo performance and she sings Miley Cyrus, which happens to be who she looks like and sounds like. It was a little rough and the judges said this is a hard decision, but they put her into the Top 30!
Jena Asciutto – Okay, if your name is pronounced like Gina, then you should spell it that way! She makes the Top 30 and Harry said she is the sleeper, as someone who no one expects to do good and blows you away. I guess now we have to remember that Jena means Gina!
Caleb Johnson – He has been here and done this walk before, but will it turn out differently for him this season? He is definitely not a quiet one, as we see him being very vocal ever since his audition! Harry said they are looking for great singers, but they need to figure out if he is a great singer or just a good singer. I guess he is, as the judges send him into the Top 30 on American Idol 2014!
Ethan Harris – He came off as a little creepy to me during his audition and singing a Keith Urban song and announcing his love for him. They have not shown him much since then, but the judges said his final solo performance was a crap choice song! I guess the song choice does not matter, as the judges want to see him in the Top 30!
Sarina Joi Crowe – sent home
Nalani Quintello – sent home
David Oliver Willis – sent home
Majesty Rose York – this girl impressed me with her audition and the flower headband. During her final performance, she forgot the lyrics. Harry said rarely are they so enthusiastic about a talent. Jennifer said they have high hopes for her, which means she made the Top 30.
Briston Maroney – it is hard to believe this kid is only 15 years old! He has such a unique tone to his voice and I like it. He is cute and plays the guitar, so the girls will fall in love with him. Harry said he is a talented young man, but he is 15. It is a long way from Tennessee, both geographically and emotionally. After all of that, Harry said he has made it and Briston said he is a wicked man!
Briana Oakley and Brandy Neelly – they had some trouble getting the elevator figured out, but they finally get in front of the judges and both have been at this point before. They have both heard no’s before, but not this year. Both move on to the Top 30 on American Idol Season 13!
Kenzie Hall – She gets very emotional in front of the judges and Harry brings her some Kleenex. Her final solo performance was dedicated to her mother, but the vocal was not good. However, her first performance in Hollywood and rapping a little stood out and they send her to the Top 30!
Savion Wright – This is one guy that has impressed me all season long. He sings his own songs and puts emotion into it. Harry said that the last performance was flat for him. Keith said a lot of his performances had that quality that stood out, but a lot of singers had that and it is a no for this year. Jennifer said this hurts now, but this will only make him better and she hopes he comes back next year.
Sandie Lee and Austin Wolfe – These are the final two girls for tonight. Austin sang the same song during her first audition and the final solo performance. I am not a fan of that, but it must have worked with the judges. They send Austin into the Top 30 and Sandie is sent home.
Ben Briley and Neco Starr – These are the final two guys of the night and both came from the Atlanta auditions. Neco had to sing on the Hollywood or Home Round and then fought sickness in the final solo performance. They are two different singers, but both here. The judges think they are both great. They have landed on 16 guys and can only take 15. Since they can’t figure it out and can’t break the tiebreaker, so they are going to let America vote!
For both of them, use AmericanIdol.com or the American Idol app to vote.
For Ben, another option would be text 1 to 83676 or call 1-855-4-IDOL-01 (1-855-443-6501) for the next two hours.
For Neco, text 2 to 83676 or call 1-855-4-IDOL-02 (1-855-443-6502).
The results will be delivered on Tuesday night before the Top 15 Girls take the stage for your votes!
