American Idol 2014 Recap: Season 13 Auditions Come To An End (VIDEO)

While it seems like things just kicked off on American Idol Season 13, the American Idol auditions 2014 are coming to an end tonight and time to move on to Hollywood Week on American Idol 2014! The American Idol judges 2014 (Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr.) have given out 193 Golden Tickets to Hollywood and now it is time to see what Omaha has to offer Season 13! It will be the Best of the Midwest tonight on American Idol 2014! Follow along with our American Idol 2014 Recap and see videos from the auditions below!

Last night on American Idol 2014, the judges seemed to come across some great talent in Utah. However, it also seemed to be the lowest number of tickets given out this season. They gave out a total of 30 tickets while in Salt Lake City, which increased the number up to 193. I don’t know what it was, but they all seemed to be good auditions last night, with some not-so-good singers mixed in there randomly. I guess that baffled me when I saw the low number of tickets given out overall.

Here we go…is anyone else completely over this chamber? I know it is new, but there is nothing special about it. It is a holding room with cameras to see the singers freak out before going in front of the judges!

The American Idol judges 2014 have arrived and the first hopeful tonight is Quaid Edwards, who is a senior in college. His mother is a country singer and watched her perform all his life and she happened to perform with Keith Urban back in the day! Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he has a good voice. Jennifer said the runs are natural for him, but he doesn’t hit them all the time. She does like him. Keith said he likes his work ethic and he has raw talent. They like his attitude and respect, so he is going to Hollywood!

It started strong, but Omaha has gone down the tubes and a lot of no votes!

In comes Madisen Walker, who is 15 years old and looks like she is in her 20s! She sings some classic Carrie Underwood and has a good sound to her voice. She is cute and could do well. Keith said she sings beautiful, but there was nothing in it that stood out and made it her. Harry said she is going somewhere, but where is she going? The judges want to see what she can do in Hollywood, so she gets that Golden Ticket.

Alyssa Siebken is here to prove you can be from a smaller town and make it big. If she gets that Golden Ticket, she tells Ryan Seacrest that he has must take a victory selfie with her. She puts a whole twist on a rap song, but it has some impressive moments. Jennifer likes it, so says yes. Harry doesn’t think her voice is strong enough, so says no. Keith wants to see more and she is going to Hollywood!

Tyler Gurwicz has a decent voice, but Harry said he doesn’t know where he would place him in American Idol. Jennifer agrees. Keith said he looks angry when he sings and he did not like that. Harry said American Idol makes you sing so many different genres and he can’t see him singing anything else. Jennifer says yes and Keith says no. Harry says no, but Tyler pleads for a chance. He asks him to sing any song to show a different side and struggles coming up with one….he finally comes up with one and Harry was hard on him, but gives in and Tyler gets that Golden Ticket!

We see some of the singers try and beg for one more chance and one more song to sing, but the American Idol judges 2014 weren’t giving in. Tyler Marshall comes in and doesn’t need that second song, as he nails the first and Harry just gives him the ticket while speaking for Keith and Jennifer!

C.J. Jones comes in and says he is singing “Stand By Me” and Harry said no, he has to sit there. C.J. says no, stand by me! It was funny, so Harry goes up and stands next to him for his performance. He has a great voice and Harry dances through it and C.J. gets the Golden Ticket!

We get two quick yes votes from the judges, but will it continue with Paula Hunt? She sings with the U.S. Air Force Band and brings happiness to the troops, but can she bring happiness to the judges on American Idol Season 13? She has a very soft and pure voice and I am liking it. Jennifer said it comes natural for her. She said she has such a talent and it hasn’t even bloomed. Harry said she has an elegance and wanted to hear more. It was an easy yes from all three judges!

Andrina Brogden is 18 years old and from North Dakota and wants to be the first American Idol winner to come from North Dakota. She has a very good personality and a pretty girl, but has a good voice to go with it. Jennifer stops her and says she has a beautiful voice, but she seems to be singing in fear. She is worried if she can move on and get through this competition and be fearless. Harry thinks she has an above-average voice, but not good enough to make it through this show. Harry thinks she will rise to this occasion. Harry and Jennifer want to see more, so Andrina is going to Hollywood!

Christian Scholl is a swing dance caller, but I think he should stick to that. He sings some Willie Nelson “On The Road Again” and the judges send him on the road again!

We have come to the end of the day for the Omaha auditions and have arrived at the final audition on American Idol Season 13! Tessa Kate sings in Branson, MO, and says that music makes her life complete. I am loving her vibe and confidence. She has a great country voice. Harry said she has a classic sound to her and he really dug it. Jennifer said it was so sweet. Keith said he is worried it might be light and she would get crushed by the other singers, but he says yes. Tessa is headed to Hollywood!

The American Idol 2014 auditions have come to an end. We had 21 tickets handed out in Omaha, which brought the total to 212 tickets handed out and singers moving on to Hollywood Week next week! Are you ready?
