American Idol 2013 - Top 6

Last week on American Idol 2013 results show, many thought (including me) it would be Lazaro Arbos voted off American Idol Season 12, but America shocked everyone and actually put him in the Top 3 for the week!

I don’t know if the support will continue again, but if he forgets a lyric one more time and is saved, I may try to jump through that TV screen and slap him! Can Lazaro stay strong as the last man standing on American Idol 2013 or will the ladies make it an all-girl Top 5 on American Idol Season 12. Find out during our Live Recap starting soon!

Here we go…a look back at Burnell Taylor leaving last week and all the tears that were shed, including big time from judge Nicki Minaj, who talked to him after the show and said she felt his life reminded her of her own growing up and we see a kiss between Burnell and Amber Holcomb?!?!? Hasn’t everyone been complaining that all the guys are gay this season on Idol???

Angie Miller – She sings “Anyone Who Had A Heart” by Dionne Hardwick. First of all, she looks gorgeous for this performance. To be honest, I have been hating on Angie recently and have been bored by her, but I enjoyed this performance. She was strong and had good tone and her voice worked very well with this song. Good job, Angie!

Amber Holcomb – She sings “I Say A Little Prayer” by Aretha Franklin. She looks gorgeous as well and I am loving the outfit (yeah, I feel like Nicki Minaj right there). She has a great voice and I wish her the best in the competition, but this is just an okay performance. The song never goes anywhere, but I am super excited for her second song tonight. Hopefully we can see improvement and see her work it out to a Beyonce song. Nicki loved it though and she is her favorite in the competition.

Lazaro Arbos – He sings “Close To You” by The Carpenters. First of all, what is he wearing tonight? I guess he brought out his pant suit for the night. He looks ridiculous and this song is a terrible choice for him and this Bacharach-David songbook sucks. This is 2013 and they need to get current and these songs can not do that for them on American Idol 2013. Boring, boring, boring! Randy Jackson said it was the worst performance of the competition for him.

Kree Harrison – She sings “What The World Needs Now” and she is amazing. Yes, it is another boring song, but I love this song and she has such a strong voice. She puts a little country into it and that is signature for Kree because she knows what kind of singer she wants to be and what kind of singer she is. Good job, Kree!

Janelle Arthur – She sings “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again” by The Carpenters. I am glad these Bacharach-David songs are almost over. They are beyond boring and would any of these Top 6 have these songs on their albums and would any of you buy it? Janelle has some good parts in this song, but it is boring again, right?

Candice Glover – She sings “Don’t Make Me Over” by Dionne Warwick. Candice is a star and such a phenomenal singer and she makes these boring songs a joy to listen to. She should be in the finale for Season 12 and I will be disappointed if she is not. She hits some great notes and showcases her style and voice and I am in love. Standing ovation from the American Idol judges 2013!

Angie Miller – The song she wished she had written is “Love Came Down” by Kari Joab. Angie gets her butt behind the piano again and all is good int he world again, right? This song was perfect for her and I think she just shot to the top of the pack again, in my opinion. This was a great night for Angie and well deserving of the finale she will probably be in.

Amber Holcomb – The song she wished she had written is “Love On Top” by Beyonce. This is not the song I was thinking of, but she does do a very good job with this performance. She does have that Beyonce-quality to her voice. She said she was excited to show off some dance moves, but I must have missed them. Did anyone else see them???

Lazaro Arbos – The song he wished he had written is “Angels” by Robbie Williams. So, I have come up with an idea for tonight’s show: Lazaro gave up and said why try because everyone is going to vote for me anyway, right? I don’t know, but both performances bored me from him tonight on American Idol 2013. Sweat less and pick better songs! Keith Urban said the girls are singing so good tonight and Nicki said what he said and all the judges are awkward and it is so quiet in that studio right now!

Kree Harrison – The song she wished she had written is “How To Make It Through The Night” by Kris Kristofferson. I love me some Kree, but I was not a fan of this performance. The song was boring, but she still has a great voice. The judges loved her and think she is a natural singer, but duh!

Janelle Arthur – The song she wished she had written is “The Dance” by Garth Brooks. I love this song and am excited to see Janelle sing it. Don’t let me down girl! Maybe because it is such a famous song and Garth did a huge justice to it, but this was a little disappointing to me or maybe it is just the fact that I am bored with all the performances tonight on American Idol 2013?

Janelle Arthur – The Dance – American Idol 12… by IdolxMuzic

Candice Glover – The song she wished she had written is “Love Song” by The Cure. Sometimes I feel Candice can oversing songs and that can hurt her. This song was done to perfection and she nailed it to end the night. The notes were perfect and this was a perfect song choice for her. It was even enough to get Mariah Carey out of her chair and she went on stage to fling some glitter on her. We all know that movie and CD flopped for Mariah, so let’s hope it does not mean that for Candice also. Randy Jackson said one of the best performances in all twelve seasons of Idol. Do you agree? Candice is in tears!
