Don’t want to know what happened on the American Idol 2013 Live Recap for the Top 10 on American Idol Season 12? Then don’t read ahead!

Here we go…the American Idol judges 2013 come out and Nicki Minaj is not present??? Where is she??? Well, she is apparently stuck in traffic. How unprofessional is that folks? She will be here in a few minutes. Yeah, she will not be back for another season!

Curtis Finch, Jr.: He sings “I Believe” by Fantasia. I hate this man, plain and simple. He annoys me and his smug look on his face is annoying as hell. I can’t look past that and listen to him scream notes. It was a bad performance of a song that Fantasia rocked. His jacket is hideous too!

Janelle Arthur: She sings “Gone” by Montgomery Gentry. Scotty McCreery sang this during his season. I used to think Janelle Arthur was a great singer, but she has been boring me lately. Yes, she can sing, but it all seems typical for her and there is nothing spectacular about her performances. She needs more fire in her to wake me up when she is done singing. Do you agree?

Side note: Nicki has arrived and wearing some hideous hoodie to cover her head and sunglasses to cover her non-makeup face?

Devin Velez: He sings “Temporary Home” by Carrie Underwood. This was a decent performance and he has a good voice, but again a boring performance to me. This is the Top 10 people and they should be blowing us away and I think they are just being safe so far tonight. What do you think?

Angie Miller: She sings “I Surrender” by Celine Dion, which was sung by Kelly Clarkson in Season 1. Is it just me or is anyone else bored tonight on American Idol 2013? These singers are good, but it just seems no one is doing anything over the top. Or is it maybe we are used to the original Idol singing these songs and comparing them? It was a good ending, but still nothing spectacular.

Paul Jolley: He sings “Amazed” by Lonestar, which was sung by Scotty McCreery. Okay, I think I have given up on this group tonight. Another good performance and good voice, but where is that wow factor? Where is that thing that would make me pick up the phone and vote for them? It has yet to be found, but I do love Paul.

Candice Glover: She sings “I Who Have Nothing” by Ben E. King, which was sung by Jordin Sparks in Season 6. Randy Jackson always jokes about the competition has finally begun tonight and I truly believe that right now. It took half the singers to get through, but man did Candice just arrive on the Top 10 on American Idol 2013! Beautiful voice and beautiful girl!

Lazaro Arbos: He sings “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson. I loved this performance from Lazaro. He is gaining so much confidence on that stage and I love it. He finally got rid of that pink shirt, but he did wear a little pink pin! I am used to Kelly singing this song, but Lazaro does a great rendition and I love the ton of his voice…great job Lazaro!

Kree Harrison: She sings “Crying” by Roy Orbison, which was sung by Carrie Underwood. Until they showed the video of Carrie singing this song, I never noticed how much Kree sounds like Carrie. It may not have been the greatest song, but Kree showed an amazing voice. This girl can sing and she is in it to win it! Do you think?

Burnell Taylor: He sings “Flying Without Wings” by Ruben Studdard. He had me when he first started, but then when the song kicked in and he had to hit some higher notes he lost me. I have never understood the infatuation with him and another performance on American Idol 2013 and I still don’t get it. Is it just me?

Amber Holcomb: She sings “A Moment Like This” by Kelly Clarkson. She takes on a classic from Idol history, in which it was the winning song from Season 1. Amber does have a great voice and she puts some runs in there and hits some notes that were different and great. I think she needs to pick some better songs, but she does sound great on the ones she picks and this was a great night for her.
